Update: I spoke to the owner/manager and after going back and forth with me for 15 minutes, and me advising that I'd be writing reviews, she waived the $50 with no empathy or understanding. She told me "I have a business run". She spoke to me like I was child in the most condescending way and insulted me by telling me that I can't understand. I am finishing my last treatment with them and will not be back. My sister and friends are not interested in laser hair removal Metro will not be one to recommend based on the service and lack of understanding. I got a copy of a clear and concise appointment/cancellation notice from one of my doctors that I will post with a comparison of Metros policy.
I thought Metro Laser was decent compared to another laser spa I went to, but I was wrong. They seem clean...for the most part. I have never actually witness them clean or santize their devices. They have a horrible/Strict scheduling policy: No courtesy if you are late or early, if you show up 6 minutes late you’re appt is gone. Good luck if you’re from Jersey. They have a $50 cancellation fee if you dont cancel within 24hrs. RIDICULOUS. Pay them $50 so they can get a 15 minute break!? If you want to see just how inhuman they are read below.... I have been going there for 4 months getting laser hair removal and today I had to stay at work late for an unexpected meeting so I called Metro at least 6 hrs ahead of time to ask their schedule policy (if I could come in earlier or later) and they said no they had other people. I said okay hopefully I can make it in time. I called 30mins ahead of time (they schedule every 15mins) to reschedule for 2days later. They set up the appt then say ok so there’s a $50 cancellation fee..... okay but Im not canceling, Im rescheduling. The lady did not care.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. They are snobby and have terrible customer service. I canceled all future appts and will not be back.    Read moreI went to the Exton location for my treatments but I could not find it on google to write this review. I wanted to wait a week or two before I wrote a review too. Laser hair removal can be quite scary after hearing some negative stories but I am impressed. I loved my experience. I work right down the street and instead of calling I walked in to inquire about an appointment. I was politely greeted and at one point even asked if I would like anything to drink. To my suprise I was offered my first treatment that day! She didn't have her next appointment for a bit and said she could fit me in, amazing! I filled out some paper work, was asked a series of questions (do I tan, on medicines etc.) I felt like she was open and honest about everything. I was nervous-it was like getting the jitters about going to the dentist feeling. I was taken into one of the rooms which was very clean and orderly. And a few minutes later I was done with my first treatment on my underarms. She explained to me how it would feel-I think it was like a hot pinch, she even offered to give me a break if I needed one but I just wanted the whole area done without stopping. I didn't really notice much discomfort right after, I thought maybe I wouldn't want to put my arms down or move too much but was just fine. I did workout the next day and when I was sweating it stung a little like she told me it might so I wasnt worried. I didn't shave before before going in and I waited a day later as I didn't want to irritate.the skin right after. I felt the slightest bit sensitive for that couple.days. I actually think the hair is not.growing back as fast already! I'm not sure how it will be after the next couple.treatments.    Read moreThe receptionist and Nika were always extremely nice and professional but I had a very bad experience with another technician. I told her there were parts of the brazilian hair removal that have been repeatedly missed and showed no signs of being touched by the laser the last 4 sessions. She said and I quote” enough pulses were used each time so I highly doubt that.”(she used an entitled, arrogant tone) Taken aback of being called a liar, I tried to maintain a positive attitude. The entire session I was given a hard time, she claimed I was in the sun when I was not. I have a darker olive toned complexion and I was very insulted. The entire awkward conversation we had while I was getting my bikini lasered was very hostile on her part. I was so angry I continued maybe one sessions afterwards but ultimately decided I will never step foot in there again. The disrespect was uncalled for from someone I didn’t even know, nor did I give her a reason to be incredibly rude to me. The hair is all grown back and it was a waste of money. I had maybe one session left but I don’t even see thinning of the hair despite all of my sessions. I have a feeling they don’t take their Groupon clients seriously, since Groupon takes over 50% of the profit. I felt as though they don’t use strong enough impulses because my sister had laser hair removal in the past at another facility and didn’t experience any hair re-growth. Go somewhere...
