I just left the Reading Terminal location and was highly disappointed with service and my sandwich. I am a vegan who frequent many vegan restaurants. Although, I left a previous review and wasnt pleased with the service and my food I still gave them the benefit of the doubt.
OMG how unprofessional the 2 african american ladies preparing the food were and the 2 white women at the register. After waiting too long for my sandwich, I took it back to my desk for lunch to discover that they didnt put any chickn salad on my sandwich. It just had lettuce and mayo on the toasted bread.
The women were laughing and joking while making my sandwich which I thought was very unprofessional in front of customers, they forgot to put the chikn salad on the bread.
Of course I was very upset and (hangry) since I didnt have lunch.
I took the sandwich back, thank goodness my office is only 4 blocks away and told the women at the register that no chickn salad is on my bread. She states that I asked for it like that. I was very very angry but did not go off on her and said why would I pay $7.56 for a sandwich with just lettuce and mayo. Then she offered me a free muffin that looked very stale to me, it definitely was not fresh. I told her no I dont want your muffin just my money.
She gave me my money back. I will never go there again.
Not that many customers order from there like when they first opened. Probably because of the horrible service. The line used to be long during lunch and breakfast time now its always 2 or 3 people, probably first timers.
I wish I took a picture of the sandwich, I usually do for reviews but I was so upset I forgot.
Note to the owners. you never know who your customers are in center city, could be a popular blogger or some one from local news paper or tv news. You need to do better there are other vegan places to go in center city you lost a...
Read moreI used to love LUHV, but not anymore. A while ago my daughters and I ordered food and I headed over to pick it up. I got back home with a bag I expected had three sandwiches, but I was wrong. Mine was missing. I went back and was given my sandwich. THEN, the next time they made a mistake with the order, again realizing once home. THEN, the following time they made a mistake with our food (guess where I was when we realized it?). They actually made my daughter's Italian hoagie with vegan meat and cheese but nothing else. This past weekend we thought we'd try again. I was appalled by the woman who was working.
I told her when I ordered that the last several times their were mistakes. She grunted "oh, sorry." Then I decided to stand where I could keep an eye on the guy making it. I had asked for mayo instead of oil on my hoagie. I wasn't sure he had done it, so I asked the young woman. She rolled her eyes and told him to do mine with mayo. The hoagie was made and I said I wanted the mayo on the bread. Well, that angered her and she said to the guy to take my sandwich apart and began to huff and puff. I asked her why she was so annoyed, to which she didn't respond but glared at me. Still watching, I noticed the guy making to food added oil and vinegar to all the hoagies he was making. I said something and he denied it. He also said that no one likes it when their questioned when making someone's food. Dude, it doesn't matter. I'm the customer and you guys messed up three times, no wait...four times.
Got the sandwich home and guess what, there was oil on it.
I will never go to LHUV again. Too many strikes and then to have to suffer at the hands of a woman who should not be in a customer service...
Read moreWe have been customers of LUHV for a long time but had a really disappointing experience recently. My husband went in to pick up some meats and cheeses to have for our vacation - 1/2 lb of each item. When he got them home we noticed they looked more like 1/4 lb, especially the capicola. We have ordered many times and always get 1/2 lb, so we know what it looks like. We called LUHV to check the order that was put in, and they confirmed that we had paid for 1/2 lb, and that from the number of slices of capicola we received they could confirm we were only given 1/4 lb. They could not give us a refund but they offered to put enough points on our account to receive a free sandwich in the future. We gladly accepted this; however, we received a voicemail a few days later saying that they would not be giving us points or doing anything for us because, they claimed, we did receive the amount we paid for but the slices were just cut thicker than before.
This is upsetting because 1. I know we didn’t receive what we paid for - the slices were not thicker than before…we have ordered the same thing so many times! And 2. It would have been much better customer service if they had just given us the points as they said they would, rather than going back on their word. It was a bad move and makes us reconsider wanting to...
