My family and I love all of the pastries here, weāre from Jersey so when we come we really indulge!!! The employees are usually very polite, but yesterday January 14th 2018 the employees had really bad attitudes. My kids( I have 3) were looking at the different items and 1 woman yellsā please move over to the front so I can take the next personā,itās not what she said but how she said it. It wasnāt many people in the line at the time and my girls are very respectful they say excuse me and things like that, but how can they decide what it is they want if they canāt lookš ? The next employee whom took our order really made me upset, she wouldnāt give me any eye contact when speaking, act as if she didnāt want to take my order, then got the order wrong. Once we walked off and was giving our daughters their cupcakes we realized she got their order wrong we immediately went back (which was less then 3 minutes), do you know she did not want to exchange their cupcakes when I specifically told her 2 chocolates and 1 vanilla, (she gave me all vanilla)...with an attitude she called another woman over whom Iām guessing was the supervisor and she went on to telling meā once you walk away, u can not exchange the itemsā, I told herā itās not an exchange because I didnāt like it, itās becau the woman got my order wrongā. So she asked did we touch the cupcakes, Iām like the woman who took our order knows that we just left the line, like what the heck is the freaking problem? So then she ( the supervisor) also with an attitude and giving nasty looks tell the woman to just throw them out. So after all of that my daughters were able to get what they have originally asked for....smdh I was so freaking upset, it was my birthday weekend and I chose to come there as a treat to myself as well as my family and we received such nasty treatment. When I had a question about the ingredients in one of their items (I just wanted to ensure it was safe for my dietary needs), the cashier looked visibly annoyed. She gave me a quick, careless response without checking, as if my question was a huge inconvenience.
When I politely asked if she could double-check, she rolled her eyes and reluctantly asked someone else, who also seemed indifferent. The whole experience felt like I was bothering them just by wanting accurate information about what I was eating.
Itās shocking how little care or respect they showed to customers with simple questions. In todayās world, where food allergies and dietary restrictions are common, itās not just about good food but also feeling valued as a customer. If they canāt provide decent customer service and clear answers, itās hard to feel safe eating here. Will definitely not be returning, and I recommend anyone expecting even basic customer service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had to let you all know that there IS still goodness in the world when it comes to people, my Anniversary was yesterday and my daughter unbeknownst to me, ordered my favorite Italian Rum cake which I usually get once a year for my birthday among a couple of other favorites from the menu, 1st off, it doesn't matter which location, the quality is always outstanding, however, the customer service my daughter received at the Filbert location brought me to tears, the wonderful woman Mary knew my daughter was coming from the Poconos, knew the store would be closed by the time she got down there and she actually WAITED, OUTSIDE the store and met with my daughter to ensure that our order was delivered! OMG I called Mary to thank her personally and I am going to email customer service, Mary you went above and beyond and we can't thank you enough!
