Skin Devotee Facial Studio — Local services in Philadelphia

Really loved the service I received at Skin Devotee. Joanna is seriously amazing and knows her stuff. My face was glowing for days after my facial. If this review was based on the service and Joanna's work alone, it would be 5+++ stars!

The reason I'm giving it 4 stars was because I scheduled a traditional facial, which was what I was able to pay for. When it came time to pay, I was charged for additional services that were provided to me. I know other spas will provide additional services at no cost to show a new client what they offer, so I wrongly assumed that was happening here. I ended up paying $70 more than I would have for a basic facial, which was a little overwhelming to me. I wish I would have been asked something like "can I try x treatment on you for an additional fee?" rather than being surprised in the end.

With all that being said, it was a great facial experience and I have already recommended it to friends. Just wanted to share my experience so that others can be less...

I had a truly truly wonderful experience with Joanna. She is a wealth of knowledge and experience. She has all the tools and knows how to use them. It’s truly a gift when you can place yourself in someone’s hands and trust them, and I really am grateful to have had her go back. Would do this every month if I could afford it!!

Update September 2025: I have now been seeing Joanna a few times a year for 3 years! She keeps upping her game. New beautiful studio, a team (shoutout to Brooke who also is amazing!) and an ever-changing rotation of new products to choose from including HER OWN CREATIONS, I mean come on. I have been seeing Joanna for facials since my first pregnancy in August 2022. With my sensitive skin, she is the only person I would trust with my skin both within and outside of pregnancy. Joanna not only creates the most relaxing environment to unwind in her beautiful studio, but her expert knowledge on techniques, skincare, and curated products really make her stand apart. I have been going for regular facials during this second pregnancy (while battling some acne) and my skin has never looked better! I can’t wait to try microchanneling post baby!
