I'm extremely disappointed in Premier Dentistry. I had been using them for about a year and a half in Philadelphia. Although they were out of network, they would submit claims to my insurance, my insurance company would send me a check, and I would pay them for what the insurance covered.

Without telling me they changed their policy, the last time I went they charged me out of pocket during my visit. When my insurance did not cover that whole amount (they charge a ridiculous amount for a basic cleaning, much more than what my very good insurance covers), they basically said, "too bad, our policy changed." No sympathy for me or the fact that I was out nearly $100 for something I could have gotten for free at a dozen other offices around the city.

If they had told me the policy changed i would be okay, but as it was it was rude and I'm extremely upset. They were a decent dentist, but nothing spectacular so if they're willing to screw over their loyal customers like this I wouldn't trust them.

Besides, they nearly always ended up talking me into paying for some "preventative" procedures that insurance doesn't cover out of pocket. They really are money grabbers and nothing else -- Beware! Look for...

UPDATE : I LOVE THE LIES !! I AM DEFINITELY A PATIENT I CAN SHOW YOU THE TEXT MESSAGES !!! DONT LIE TO SAVE FACE !!! DO NOT GO HERE ! The lady at the front desk is beyond rude ! They make you prepay for work (only me and I believe and I’m just going to say it because I’m black) I didn’t see not one person that wasn’t black be told they would have to prepay for services and then refuse to give you your money back ! I requested my money back because they tried to charge me 400$ for an extraction that after I called my insurance found out it would only be 96$ ! They over charge and commit insurance fraud and then give you the run around when you try to get answers ! Be very careful of Barbra the moment you decide you want your medical records the niceness goes out the window ! She literally screamed at me and hung up the phone ! I am one of the sweetest people you will meet ! So after her rudeness I felt I needed to say something ! It’s not right at all how they treat patients ! New name same horrible establishment!! I was a new patient with this dentist and found the hygienist and dentist both extremely rude and unprofessional. I have teeth that are slightly misaligned and he stated I needed braces to correct. When I think told him that was not an option for me he stated he didn't care what I did but he was a Doctor and had to tell me and he stated I would probably lose all my teeth but then stated I have no cavities and good enamel. A lot of people don't get braces and don't lose their teeth because of it. The hygienist, after probing my teeth with a metal pick that would make the healthiest gum bleed, then tried to tell me I needed costly gum work and that I should floss everyday, which I do, and then when she completed the cleaning she didn't even bother to floss my teeth which every hygienist I've been to does.
