Disappointed by Rude Treatment at Checkout
I’ve been a loyal Sprouts customer for over three years and was thrilled when a new location opened in Northern Liberties near our new home. My husband and I have been shopping there since day one and always appreciated the fresh produce and convenient self-checkout system with paper bags available.
However, during our visit this morning around 8:30 AM, I had a very disappointing experience. While checking out, I didn’t see any paper bags at our station, so I reached for one from the neighboring register (where another customer was checking out). I politely said “excuse me” and took one. Suddenly, an employee yelled at me from behind, speaking in an extremely rude and condescending tone, saying things like “That’s HIS bag! Not YOUR bag. How many bags do you need?!”
I was stunned and honestly didn’t know how to respond. She later mentioned there was a new policy about asking for bags—but the way she handled it felt unnecessarily aggressive and humiliating. I simply said I wished she had informed me at the start, and she responded with more attitude, trying to escalate the situation further.
It’s incredibly disappointing to be treated like this at a store I’ve supported for years. Sprouts has always stood out to me for its customer care—but this experience really shook my trust. I hope this feedback helps encourage better communication and more respectful treatment of...
Read moreOk so I was really excited about this but I’m disappointed.
Beautiful store. A bit small. Laid out well and has everything you need. Good brands available! Good shopping experience. Everyone is friendly.
I buy almost all organic and local but these prices are definitely inflated. Organic chicken nuggets are $5 more here than on Amazon Fresh. They also didn’t have any frozen chicken? Maybe I just couldn’t find it.
Parking is terrible and is going to be a huge issue. The parking lot is small and only two floors. The second floor is for residents only in the apartment building. There is absolutely not enough parking on the 1st floor. I can see customers may park on the 2nd floor anyway and cause an issue for resident parking. There isn’t anywhere else to park so this is going to...
Read moreIts not all organic, more like half, but the organic produce was reasonable. There is a good selection of bulk nuts and grains. Staff were very helpful and nice. The store has better prices than Amazon/Whole Foods and Giant. I filled five reuseable bags with produce, bulk items (nuts, etc) and several packs of chicken and spent $300. Good dance music played, motivated me to buy more. 🤣 The covered parking lot is right by the entrance and the pedestrian entrance doesn’t make one feel like second class citizen the way some urban grocers do. I went there around 10am on the 4th of July and got a great parking spot. It wasn’t crowded and the place was clean and organized. The area of Delaware Ave/Columbus Blvd is a busy area for folks exercising by the river - be alert and cautious...
