Went there to pick something up something I ordered online and I got there a little early, 10 minutes before they opened and tried to get in. To be fair, they had the gate open so I thought they were open although the door was locked when I tried to get in. The manager or a senior employee came out and was insistent about not letting me in until the store opened. Fair enough, but then continued to read me the riot act about how "dangerous" it was having me past the gate which is a bit ridiculous. If you really didn't want me getting past the gate then why not keep it closed until you actually opened? Anyway, I come back when they were open, gave them all the information they needed including my name, the item, order number and when I ordered it (a month ago). They were insistent that they never received it saying if my name wasn't on a box, they never got it. I kept telling them to double check but two different employees just scanned over the boxes saying over and over again that if my name isn't on the box, they never got it. They stood there refusing to help me out until I spent 10 minutes pulling up the actual confirmation page and showing it to them. Even then they were insistent they didn't have it, telling me to figure it out myself by calling customer support, etc. I then had to pull up the tracking number and actually show them that it said package was successfully delivered to the store and signed by an employee before they finally decided to go through the boxes they had and found the one I ordered. The lady then continued to read me the riot act again, but this time about how the packing slip didn't have my name on it and they couldn't identify it like it was my fault. I put my name in wherever it asked me to when I ordered it online and it was even on the confirmation page. Besides, I don't understand why they wouldn't label it with the order number or the item if it didn't have a name on it. They ridiculously rude especially that lady (wish I got her name) and wouldn't help me acting like it was completely my fault. It took all but a minute to go through the boxes to find my order and instead they wasted half an hour of my time refusing to go through them over and over again. I can understand that it's early and that that you're busy opening up but it is absurd to expect a customer to solve a problem on your end! I'm NEVER going back there again and would caution anyone about going there tool. Employees there have a terrible attitude with an even worse...
Read moreBuyer Beware!!!! Extremely poor customer service. Fortune 500 company will not replace $200 broken printer after 3 attempts even with extended warranty!!!
I have now purchased and returned 3 Brother printers from this store and each time I received worse and worse customer service. The employees there have redirected my replacement requests back to Brother and also to their customer service over the phone claiming they cannot resolve the issue in the store alone even though I purchased the extended warranty.
I have wasted over 5 hours waiting on the phone and talking with the customer service reps only to receive a store voucher for a value that was less than the price of the printer.
All I wanted was to walk into the store and make a simple exchange with no need for vouchers and me having to pay additional out-of-pocket expenses to replace a faulty product. Seeing as this printer was just over $200 (retail keep in mind) and that Staples is a Fortune 500 company, I would have thought this would have been a relatively small request to keep a customer happy. Nonetheless, it seems this company has other priorities than tending to the needs of their customers and will not be receiving my business nor any of my colleagues business...
Read moreI came here last night to make some copies. One team member assisted me and was very helpful. I went to the cashier asking where can I get some pens. She said upstairs aisle 3 but we're closing. I said so I can't even get some pens? She said you can but I just wanted you to know we're closing. I'm like pens is all I needed. At that point she reiterated aisle 3. While I was heading upstairs two people came in and she didn't stop them and say we're closing. They went upstairs as well with no incident. When I came back down they were at the register and I was heading out the door. Or so I thought. Turns out miss cashier locked the inside doors and I couldn't get out. She says I'll unlock it in a second. Wouldn't even call someone over to unlock it. So I'm just standing there waiting. It took another employee to see me standing there to ask "can I help you with something ma'am?" I said "yeah I'm trying to leave and she locked the doors." So he unlocked it and he apologized. I get it it's Friday and she wanted to get out...
