Honest Review After 4 Months Rating: 3/5 Stars
Cons:
Pool Access: Before moving in, I was assured that I could access the pool directly through the lounge area. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Instead, I have to go through the gym on the first floor, take the stairs to the second floor, and then enter through the locker room entrance just to reach the pool. This roundabout setup feels cumbersome and doesn’t match the “luxury” experience I was expecting. Other nearby complexes in the same price range offer direct access from the lounge, making this setup feel like a downgrade. Moreover, the pool hours are limited to the gym’s operating hours, meaning once the gym closes, the pool is also off-limits. I can’t help but feel a bit scammed, as this access wasn’t disclosed upfront.
Dryer Issues: My in-unit dryer was broken for the first two months. While there are free washers and dryers in the basement, it doesn’t feel premium to have to do laundry there, especially when paying over $3,000 per month. I would strongly advise checking that all appliances are in proper working order before signing a lease. This experience felt like an inconvenience that shouldn’t happen at this price point. Please address this for future tenants.
Poor Communication: I planned to celebrate my birthday in the lounge area, and after speaking with three leasing agents and the concierge weeks in advance, I was assured that hosting a small gathering (non-private) would be free. However, on the day of the event, one of the leasing agents, Nadirah, approached me, questioning who had given me permission and stating that it would be $300 per hour in front of my guests, which felt very unprofessional. I believe her customer service skills need some work. We ultimately agreed on $300 for the event, which I can easily pay for, but this unexpected fee could have easily impacted others’ budgets. Communication and clear rules on their website would help avoid situations like this.
Thermostat: The thermostat doesn’t go below 71°F due to a building-wide eco mode. During warmer months, this restriction makes some nights uncomfortably warm, and I’ve woken up sweating multiple times. For the price I’m paying, I expect full control over my AC, especially to adjust the temperature as needed. Not being able to upgrade the thermostat is also frustrating; in my previous residence, I had a Nest thermostat that I could control from my phone, offering much more convenience. This setup feels like a downgrade.
Lounge Hours: The lounge area closes at 10 p.m. even on the weekends, which feels restrictive since it’s far from the residential units and wouldn’t disturb anyone. It’d be great if the hours were extended.
Pros:
Fully Equipped Gym: The on-site City Fitness gym is fantastic, with everything you’d need to stay fit, including a sauna, hydromassage chair, and quality equipment.
Great Location: The complex is within walking distance from various restaurants, a gas station, a supermarket, CVS, and possibly even a Target – super convenient.
Friendly Staff: The concierges, especially Rocky, are kind and attentive. Maintenance staff are friendly, proactive, and quick to fix issues within their control.
Amazing Views: Living on a high floor means I get incredible views of the bridge and water. It’s something I never tire of.
Spacious Layout: I have a one-bedroom with a den, which works perfectly as a home office since that is where I do all my work. I love having the separate space, and the glass door adds a nice touch to divide it from the living room.
Overall: This complex has potential, but until they address the issues mentioned above, it’s hard to justify the price and calling it “luxury” with so many limitations. Others in the area offer similar prices with fewer inconveniences. I hope this review helps anyone considering...
Read moreI’ve been living here for a month now, and overall, the experience has been very positive. The concierge team is 24/7, friendly and attentive, and management has been highly responsive to any questions/concerns. Maintenance requests are also addressed promptly with a simple click in the app.
However, there were a few things we wish had been communicated more clearly. We were not informed of the pool guest policy, which limits residents to two guests and charges $15 per additional person. All guests must be 18 years or older, which was another unexpected restriction. One of the main reasons we chose this building was the impression that we could host guest more freely, so these limitations were disappointing to us.
It’s also worth noting that while the pool is advertised as a building amenity, it is actually owned and operated by City Fitness. Accessing it can be a bit inconvenient, as it requires going down to the lobby, through the gym, and back upstairs, even though there is a gate that could offer more direct access.
Despite these frustrations, we are enjoying our time here and appreciate the building’s overall atmosphere and service! Hopefully, with the hot summer days- CityFitness and The Noble can come to some sort of agreement to make pool access seamless for...
Read moreAfter a few months at The Noble, it’s evident that it’s the people who make this building great. Amenities aside, the staff are the highlight of the building and make every effort to make life here seamless.
Rocky is THE MAN. He has been exceedingly thoughtful and always goes out of his way to help in any way possible. His presence is a cornerstone of The Noble and he’s gone above and beyond to make this building feel like home. I can’t stress enough how rare it is to come across someone so personable and committed to making others feel looked after. His hospitality and attitude are unmatched.
I struggle to explain just how big a help Xavier has been since my first day at The Noble. Aside from helping immensely with the move in process, he has continued to have a lasting impact on my day to day life here. I always look forward to arriving back to the building knowing he’ll be here to greet me and converse about our days. His personality and charisma are evident to everyone in the building and it’s clear he is dead set on making The Noble experience better than any other building in Philly.
A big thank you to these two men, the entirety of The Noble staff and those who play a part in finding incredible...
