First off I was told that my wait time was going to be 30 minutes I ended up waiting an 1hr and 15 minutes then when I was charged I noticed there was a fee on the receipt that said “up charge” When I called to find out what the charge was for I was given two different reasons but the final reason is what really got me I was told that it was for a topcoat base like really you’re supposed to get topcoat no matter what service you get whether if it’s a manicure or acrylic how are you going to charge an extra five dollars for topcoat I’ve never heard of such a thing the point is this they’re dishonest and they charge whatever they want as they go so you basically pay for service and then you pay separate charges you pay for the shape you pay for the length and then you pay for the topcoat lol so before you get any service done make sure you ask what you’re going to be paying. So you can’t just go in there and say you want a short set of nails because no matter what you’re going to be charge for the length and then you’re going to be charge for the shape it doesn’t matter what shape you get you’re going to pay a separate fee it is unbelievable yes I understand that if you get long nails you pay more money because of the product but I’ve asked numerous people that go there and they pay the same fee and yet they get their nails like 2 cm long which makes no sense so they charge you for the separate Charges no matter what you get it is the most craziest thing I’ve ever seen but it’s the fact that they lie... I went to this salon 3 times, really hoping I would have a better experience each time. It’s very clean and styled nicely, most of the ladies are very nice. My first problem was that 2 of the 3 times I made appointments for 10 am and showed up on time, I had to wait outside because they were late opening the salon, and I awkwardly sat and waited for them to get their day started. One of those times the tech who I had made an appointment with was late. They offered to start me with another tech, which I did to stay on my schedule, but then I was questioned by another tech why I didn’t wait for the tech who was late. During one of my appointments, my tech stopped multiple times to take phone calls, some of them loud and angry. During another appointment she held a loud conversation with another tech about someone wanting to fight her and something about cops. All In all….. as someone who was a stylist for 14 years and managed front of house for restaurants…I feel like there is A LOT of professionalism lacking here. Secondly, the quality of work was just ok and inconsistent - not to mention they up charge you for everything and their pricing is not clear. So not worth the hype!!! Very pretty and eye catching so that’s what initially drawed me to them. Other than that!!! Highly disappointed!!! Over the phone while scheduling my appointment, I was told one price, then when I’m ready to pay after my services it was a totally different price.I went for GelX instead of my usual acrylic and also away from my original nail salon! My technician who did my nail was not well educated on what I asked for, so I sat watching her as she struggled todo my nails. My cuticles are also burning after leaving the salon!!! I don’t mind paying more for better quality, and for a better experience, I’ll just leave it as I’ll be returning to my original nail shop, E-Nails off of Aramingo Avenue.
