So, the issue wasn't with one particular area, but multiple. The quality of the food we DID receive was subpar mush or flat out stale (unstrained beans and long giant strings of cilantro, mushy rice, the stale hard as a rock tortillas) The food we didn't receive was the main aspect of the entire meal - the protein. (main problem) The fact that customer service wanted to argue with us that they only want to replace the EXTRA 4 dollars we had spent on protein (yes we had actually added extra and received literally zero protein) The customer service's attitude when she did finally concede and recognized that our point made sense. You don't purchase a burger and simply be okay with having the cheese, ketchup, and bun. At the end, she murmurs something inaudible and flatly hangs up the phone on my fiancé. WE WERE POLITE, I work in customer service, my fiancé works in customer service (different fields - IT and food) so we understand what it's like to be yelled at on the phone - we were absolutely polite, I say this as a disclaimer for someone second guessing the validity of this claim.
In summation - CHECK YOUR ORDER ENTIRELY BEFORE LEAVING THIS ESTABLISHMENT They do not care about their follies, they wont hold anyone accountable, then become upset with the customer for not being satisfied by the lack of continuity of the requested order. I could go on. Check your order, and god forbid you need to use their...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I received during my recent visit to your location at 950 East Bell Rd.
From the moment I stepped up to order, the experience felt rushed and unwelcoming. I had never eaten at Café Rio before and simply wanted to ask a few questions about the menu and pricing before making my selection. Unfortunately, the staff seemed impatient and uninterested in helping. I was especially disappointed when I tried to clarify my cheese preference for a quesadilla—despite stating it clearly, the wrong cheese was added. When I politely asked to substitute it, the team member looked visibly frustrated, as though my request was an inconvenience.
What made this even more disheartening was watching other customers behind me receive friendlier, more patient service. I was made to feel like a burden rather than a valued guest. The checkout experience was no better—the final team member who processed my payment was dismissive and made it very clear he wanted me out the door, ignoring my questions and concerns entirely.
As someone who was genuinely looking forward to trying your food for the first time, this experience left a bad impression. I hope you can take this feedback constructively and work with your team to ensure that all customers are treated with the same level of respect and care, regardless of how familiar they are...
Read moreUpdate review. So happy that management considered my recent review. My wife had been very disappointed with the dilute tea and the fact that the Key lime pies were as good as they used to be. We stopped by tonight and the food was excellent as usual, but the tea was wonderful and they let me add lemonade to make an Arnold Palmer, which was excellent. So they now earned five stars. Wonderful food for several years and the entrees are still good. However, they must be trying to cut costs by watering down the tax China Mist tea and cutting out the crust and whipped cream on the key lime pie. Very disappointing from a fan who has always liked the tea and desert. This is the way to lose your business not save it. China Mist will be disappointed to find that someone is selling their tea diluted to taste weaker than cheap tea. Might as well be instant tea.
On revisit as usual, the entrées were delicious. However, the tea was even worse appeared to be slightly discolored water. The Keylime pie wasn’t available however the...
