My wife and I went to Hamra in Scottsdale because she wanted to get ideas for a present for my upcoming birthday. We were greeted by Steve. I’ve loved watches since I was a boy and my father got me my first watch from Geneva. Hamra is an authorized dealer for both Patek Philippe and Rolex timepieces, so naturally, we figured this would be a great place to get some ideas. While Steve patiently answered my questions about watches, we couldn’t help but notice the stunning selection of jewelry that was on display. My wife is an artist and she has impeccable taste. She is also very selective and hard to please. I’ve gotten her many pieces of jewelry over the years and the majority of them spend so much time in the safe, I wonder why I bother having each piece individually insured! I’ve taken her to jewelry stores all over the country as well as some locations in Europe, and I’d yet to see her show more than polite enthusiasm. Except for that day. Steve showed us a selection of bracelets, and to my astonishment, the problem wasn’t finding something that she liked, it was finding something that she didn’t like! She tried a bracelet on, and wouldn’t want to take it off! The same thing happened with the next bracelet. And then there were the necklaces. Gorgeous diamond, emerald, and ruby necklaces so artfully and tastefully crafted. She dropped some not-so-subtle hints about what I could buy her in the future if I wanted to be sure I’d be getting her something she would wear and love. We ended up getting one bracelet that day, but I know we’re going to be going back to that store to get more. There’s Valentine’s Day, her birthday, our anniversary, and Christmas. But more important than those planned special-event days, are the days like that one, where we went shopping just because we both wanted to enjoy the quality that has bonded us from the very beginning—our youthful spontaneity. Breathtaking jewelry and the best luxury watches on the planet aside, what really made me write this review was Steve. I don’t know about you, but these past years, it seems like customer service has gone on an extended vacation. It doesn’t matter how much money you are willing to spend, vendors seem to act as though they’re doing you a favor in allowing you the privilege of spending your hard-earned money in their establishment. Not at Hamra. Not with Steve. We spent more than an hour being pampered by Steve with the kind of white-glove, high-class customer service my wife and I hadn’t experienced in ages. Steve is professional, respectful, highly knowledgeable, and extremely patient, and we both had a wonderful, education experience with Steve at Hamra. Fair warning: don’t go to Hamra if you’re just curious and want to browse: you’re likely to fall in love with the place and get hooked as we did! Oh, and that bracelet we bought? All I can say about my experience at Hamra is wow. From the beginning I was looking for a one watch collection and was unsure which type of Rolex that I wanted to obtain and was hopeless due to the stories that you hear about the "list". Upon coming into the store Trey greeted me and asked me what I was interested in and what type of watch I would like to get. 2 hours later we went through every single Rolex they had in the store and the functionality of them as I had new previous knowledge on these watches and wanted to know the differences between them. No matter what questions I had Trey had an answer for every single one and it was truly amazing how much knowledge he had on not only Rolex but the other brands that are offered at Hamra. It blew me away how much he knew off the top of his head and truly showed that he cares about his profession and strives to be one of the best salesmen there. After talking shop about watches we talked about our personal lives and it was awesome to not only have someone with the knowledge but also someone who was extremely personable and felt like a friend despite only knowing him for two hours. After our interaction he took down my information and the types of watches that I was interested in and told me that we would be in touch. Fast forward a month later and he offered me this beautiful submariner that I could not turn down! I was surprised and over the moon when he texted me and told me that he had a present for me! After coming down to the shop we went over the specs and all of the applicable knowledge to the piece that I was obtaining and then once again had a conversation about life and how things were going in our necks of the woods. To say that I am pleased with my experience at Hamra and my interactions with Trey is an understatement. I have already referred friends and family to Hamra and will only be providing them with my business in the future. Trey, thank you again so much it was truly an amazing experience and I hope the move in and setting up the rest of your house went smooth. Trey is a stand up guy who won't give you the run around or feel like you are wasting his time, he will answer any questions you have regarding watches and will do so with enthusiasm. My wife and I visited Hamra today after months of anticipation as we live about 120 miles away in another city. Hamra is the only Patek Philippe dealer in AZ. Let me start by saying the staff was kind and inviting starting from the phone call I made to inquire if it was appointment only during this time. The woman stated that it is appt only and gladly offered to set an appointment up and upon hearing we were available as we spoke, she invited us for an immediate arrival. We walking in and were immediately welcomed by Kimberlie. I expressed an interest in viewing their selection of Patek Philippe as a prospective future customer of PP watches. Kimberlie pulled out every watch I expressed any interest in even though I did not ask or require any be taken out to have a satisfactory visit. The gesture was very much appreciated. I would like to say that the Patek selection was absolutely fantastic. They had more pieces readily available than I could have hoped for. In the watch world today, that is a huge challenge and for customers it is the golden ticket. Luxury time pieces of great demand are near impossible. I expected to see 1/4 the amount of Pateks.

As I am an avid watch lover, I asked if I may look at the Tudor and Rolex cases since I was there. She made me feel like time was not an object and I could browse with her as long as I would like. I was impressed with their Rolex selection as well. New and preowned! All the while another lovely associate showed my wife some diamond rings and cleaned her wedding set, and gave her a gift for our first visit. I believe this was Sana. Such delightful ladies!

I wish I could add to this review that I went home with a time piece but that will have to wait for a future review. I would just like others to know that this is a lovely store and I will be happy to give them my business in the future and so should anyone in the market for a luxury watch or piece of fine jewelry.
