We had been boarding our two small senior pups for the past several years at Furbabies (Scottsdale Quarter location) with the most recent stay over Labor Day this year. We had an upcoming reservation for boarding for two days at the beginning of this year when we received a call a couple of weeks before saying they had a new policy that they could not accept dogs older than 13 years at their facility. We understand businesses have a right to change their policies, however due to the fact they took the reservation just a few weeks earlier and obviously knew the age of our dogs given they had been recently boarded with them and they would put us in a bad situation could they make an exception and requested they check with the owner. We did receive a call back from a member of their staff and we were then told the age limit was now 10?? We thought this was a bit odd to say the least, but accepted that we would need to find another option for our two pups. We did try to see if there had been anything messaged on the site about the policy change and when we didn't see anything we called the other two locations and received the following responses. The Paradise Valley location saw our pups in the system and said they would be able to board them and there isn't an age restriction. The Scottsdale Old Town location said "as long as they aren't about to die or falling over" they could take them. That definitely didn't make us feel good about their business practices. I will mention while our pups are seniors they don't act like it and are in good health aside from taking a couple of medications for one our dogs. We were trying to reach the owner if this issue was all due to a rogue employee, but couldn't reach her. I would love to hear from her though to understand what happened as we have spent thousands of dollars over the years with this business and how we have been treated is very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsed to love this place when they first opened. However, they can not keep a groomer longer than a few months. My 10lb maltipoo has high anxiety when getting his hair cut and every time he comes in he has to see someone new. Was advised to get him cbd from them and I did since I donāt want to drug him. Today I took him in on cbd for a haircut and I was told to get him drugs from the vet which is not what Iām looking to do and why weāve been going there vs taking him to the vet for grooming. This will definitely be our last trip here. The guy who worked there previously was the only groomer who had no issues grooming my dog and gave him a cute cut. Knowing he was let go, is heartbreaking as he could handle my 10lb dog.
I used to love it here but not anymore! Avoid this place! The turn over is too high and they try to add extra charges that you didnāt agree to after the grooming is complete. After I got the text to come pick my dog up, I was told I would be charged extra. I received a phone call in the middle of his appointment and no one said anything about an extra fee. I called to pay for the cut before my daughter picked my dog up and they told me I was going to be charged extra. The manager was rude as can be and I said I never agreed to any extra fee and when I received a phone call mid appointment no one said anything about me being charged extra. She said she didnāt care and my dog would not be released until I paid extra. This place has went down hill and is clearly money hungry with ZERO customer service skills. You canāt charge someone extra with out telling them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came over here from doggie district due to location and curiosity. My dog liked it there but he LOVES fur babies day care. The staff are so kind and itās clear he knows each of them when we walk in. He is a rescue and usually takes a little time to warm up to people⦠so I was shocked to see how much he loved each person working there. He runs right up! He is ecstatic when he sees the front doors and his fur friends through the windows!
I recently had to board him and it was also a wonderful experience! The owner gave me a full tour of the facility and what I could expect and also took notes when I dropped my dog off to make sure he kept his little routine. Sheās so kind and really calmed my anxieties about leaving him. The pictures and report card updates really put you at ease! Itās so nice how the staff take the time to photograph the dogs throughout the day so you can see all the activities your babies been up to! A huge difference from our previous place that only sent a couple of photos. I was so anxious to get back to my fur baby but I swear he was having so much fun he didnāt look like he was ready to leave when I picked him up!
Rue loves all of his new fur pals and we couldnāt thank fur babies enough for making it such a positive experience...
