Five Guys — Restaurant in Scottsdale

I accidentally purchased food from this location online and called immediately after realizing my mistake. I was then told that it would take a few days for the charges to be refunded. OK cool I made the purchase from the correct location. I checked my account a 2 weeks later and realized I hadn't received my refund so I proceeded to call and make sure my refund was being taken care of and was told they needed to contact the district manager to get the refund processed. Then I called a week later after still not receiving my refund and was then told by the manager that the district manager had approved it and I would be refunded in a few days...... OK yea I heard that before. So another week goes by I call in and was told that I should have gotten it by now (I wouldn't be calling if that were the case) I asked if I could just come and get a gift card since this was taking so long and was told I could get a $10 gift card in place of the $18 I was originally charged for something I...

$53.00 for 3 burgers, 3 small drinks and 1 large fry is just mind boggling. And then they want tips for performing fast food counter service yet offer no kind table service like is the normal way earn the tip at a restaurant.

It is also very bold to charge $7.59 for a large fry and have me feeling ripped off when I got the order. Then I had to go back and politeky ask if this was really the correct amount of fries for a large, have all the staff looking to each other not knowing the answer, and then act like me questioning this was taking food off of their table........They finally go to the manager for help, who then looks in my bag, mumbles something to the kid at the frier and hands him the bag to add some more fries. No apologies, no worry, no care from the staff or manager. By the stares from the staff, I am sure I was the latest topic of discussion when I left.

I have been a repeat customer of Five Guys for many many years, but the prices have truly gotten insane. A burger and fries was $18 which would be okay, except that they didn't even do a full topper on the fries, telling me it was policy to do a half topped for a small fry order (first time I've been told this in my life) and proceeded to tell me "it's always been that way" which is just plainly not true. Now I hadn't been to this particular location for almost 2 years, so I figured it may have changed in that time, but the way the staff reacted was so rude and unprofessional. No apologies, no acknowledgement of my experience, just "that's policy, not my problem."

My only other recent experience was at a location in NYC which did give a full topper.
