Went to check out selection and for quick lunch. Ordered the Shrimp Salad Bun, was amazing! Lots of Shrimp, great dressing, bun was excellent! Old Bays chips were also really good. Fish selection looked top notch, high quality, will definitely be back to try other menu items (daily specials) and to buy some fish. Beef looked good as well. Great customer service, highly recommend this place.
Update: Went back for lunch was hoping for clam chowder but they had Watermelon Tomato Gazpacho, which was amazing! Got the Shrimp Salad Bun again, also amazing. But the best part by far was the freshly shucked oysters, some of the best I have ever eaten, plump, briny, lots of liquor. The mignonette was delicious, cocktail sauce and horse radish were also delicious. Ordeed half dozen and had to go back and get another half dozen.
Can't believe you can get seafood of this quality in the desert.
Also, outstanding customer service!
Update: Finally made it on Saturday to try the Proper Lobster Roll, drove 40 minutes from Surprise. Was well with the time spent, ridiculously delicious, ton of meat which was, as expected, very high quality. Bun was toasted perfectly. Put this on your Phoenix...
Read moreI was so happy when I walked in the store because I haven't seen sea food that fresh!!! We ordered the Lobster Roll and my goodness, it was so fresh, the lobster meat was so tender, so full of flavor and the ration of bun and lobster leaned more towards the lobster meat which we very much appreciated. My daughter who just came back from home - Boston for summer vacation, and had one before she came back & in her words "the flavors were better blended and tasted better." As for fresh seafood, there wasn't any seafood smell in our house after I made our fish collars which speaks volume on the level of freshness. The Sea Bass beautiful, the Branzino, Halibut all shiny, the store doesn't have that fishy smell which tells you again, freshness. If you love seafood, this is the only store I recommend and I have been to almost all of them in Phoenix and Scottsdale. No one is paying me for this post. I just miss home and the fresh seafood I took for granted. Now it's...
Read moreFinally found the best fish market in Scottsdale! Bonus, they make the greatest lobster rolls (only on Saturdays) in the Phoenix metro. Tossed in a light butter sauce, the lobster was the star of the show, not saucy or with any filler. The bread complimented the lobster perfectly and had enough butter to perfect every bite. Nelson’s is a must stop if you love a lobster roll, or are in need of luxury fish. The scallops were HUGE and looked better than restaurant quality. There was also a large variety of other fresh fishes that looked freshly caught. Additionally they had a cooler with other meats, and some fresh bread. They have specials almost every day of the week, I can’t wait to try a...
