When it came time to go ring shopping for my fiancé I did what most folks do these days... I went to Google.
Ron Domb and The Diamond Guys were at the top of the list so I started there. I read the reviews and I believe at the time, out of the 41 reviews all 41 were 5 out of 5 stars. At this point I called my Madre and told her I was coming over and we were going ring shopping. I wanted my Mother there for 2 reasons, A. For a woman's opinion B. She knows her jewelry.
Their location was convenient and the store itself was secure and elegant. (2 comfortable feelings to have when making this kind of purchase) After being buzzed in through the 2 security doors we were greeted by Ron Domb.
Ron is the best! I showed up with a thousand yard stare not knowing what I was getting myself into having never gone through this process before. Ron was calm and personable... Not once during the process did I think he was trying to "sell" me. He even slowed me down a couple times when I was on the money aspect to find out more about my fiancé and myself. He wanted to know about her personality and her lifestyle to make the ring a perfect fit.
So after describing the love of my life, I got into all the questions I had. For years I had heard that it was customary to spend 3 months salary on an engagement ring. Ron answered these and other questions I had with common sense. Ron told me that those old school ways of thinking don't apply to everybody and one should spend what they're comfortable spending. I told him what I was looking to spend and we went about shopping. Almost immediately I found the ring I thought was perfect. We set it aside and looked at others that were similar to that style but I kept coming back to the "one"
I pulled the trigger on the setting and it was time to see what the diamond was going to look like. Ron brought out a beautiful diamond and put it in place. It was amazing. I looked at my Mom and said "What do you think?" She said "It could be bigger" I'm thinking to myself "Are you kidding me right now?!?" Before I could say anything Ron said "Now Mom... this is the diamond size that keeps him in his budget"
But I was up to this challenge. I asked Ron to bring out a bigger diamond and he reluctantly obliged saying "The new stone will be outside the budget amount you set" He brought out the new stone and set it in place. That's where my budget went out the window and I don't regret one penny of it! She loves it, I love that she loves it. It was all thanks to Ron.
My Mother and I left there highly impressed with our experience. My fiancé has since met with Ron a few times and loves the guy. She bought my wedding band there, it's awesome. One of a kind.
The customer service and price are unbeatable. I would recommend The Diamond Guys to my family and closest friends. That's the best recommendation...
Read moreI ordered a ring from a well known online jeweler (Kay’s) around September 3rd 2019 because I was planning to propose to my girlfriend in mid October on our cruise out of San Juan. The online retailer has a three week delivery schedule and after three weeks I called them and I was told it had shipped and I would receive it October 4th. On October 5th I again called the online jeweler and was told they never received my order yet had gladly taken my 10k payment for it. I cancelled that order and began my search locally in Phoenix on Sunday October 6th to hopefully find a jeweler who may have something comparable to what I wanted. I’m so grateful to have found The Diamond Guys in Scottsdale. I called Sunday October 6th knowing they weren’t open but left a message hoping to get a call back sometime Monday. Much to my surprise Elan called me 30 minutes later and I explained to him my predicament and time constraints, sent him pictures of the design I wanted and that I was scheduled to fly to San Juan on the 12th. He assured me he could take my design, build my ring and deliver on Saturday afternoon (the 11th) so I would be able to fly Sunday to San Juan . I received a call from Elan on Friday afternoon saying I could come pick it up because it was completed. I was in total shock to know it was ready a day early but drove there eagerly and was just hoping it was close to what I had wanted. I walked into the store and Elan greeted my by my first name and instantaneously my mind was set at ease and all stress relieved. When he opened up the box and I seen this ring for the first time I was completely in awe of the quality, craftsmanship, and the meticulous attention to detail that Elan and his team provided me with the build of this ring. I cannot express in words to describe how grateful I am for finding Elan and The Diamond Guys, the quality, craftsmanship and customer service are unprecedented. By the way she said yes and now I will task Elan with another design... a wedding band in which this engagement ring slides into. I have found my jeweler for life, not only because of what he has already done for me but what I have seen in his showroom. The Scottsdale store is amazing- some of the most beautifully designed jewelry I have ever seen. Elan and his team at The Diamond Guys are worthy of your business. I’ll never shop at a “chain”...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went shopping together for an engagement ring, as we were both clueless about styles and types that we wanted when we got engaged. At the first store we went to, it was very busy and the consultant we spoke with was even more busy. She came back and forth from working on other things to give me rings to try on, and didn't really ask any questions or provide any extra assistance. After leaving that store, I felt a little uneasy and told my fiancé that I needed to come up with better questions to ask at the next place, if our experience would continue to feel rushed and unassisted, as I am not a jewelry person and didn't really know what I liked/didn't like quite yet. Our next stop was The Diamond Guys, and I cannot recommend this store enough. We had such a different experience from the first store and I felt so well taken care of! We were helped by Tina, and she was AMAZING! We were the only people in the store and had the staff's full attention. We browsed for a moment, then Tina helped guide me as I tried on different styles. She pulled every ring I asked to try, then asked me what I liked/didn't like about each one, so that she could suggest other rings to try based on my preferences. Tina kept my favorites out and brought them around with us as we continued to try on rings, so that I could compare my favorites and decide what style I liked best. When asking about different styles, Tina would not only verbally describe it, but pull different rings and show me particular differences between them, so that I could be clear about what feature of the rings I was considering. When we found one we loved, Tina sat us both down and carefully and intentionally wrote down my preferences, taught us about the 4 C's and all the particulars that we needed to be aware of, then showed us different diamond sizes in the setting we chose. I learned so much about rings from her! My fiancé later had a couple of appointments with Tina to order and choose my diamond, and throughout each appointment, she was attentive, intentional, helpful, and so kind. She communicated expectations well and definitely succeeded in her goal to provide us with exactly the experience and engagement ring that we wanted. We can't wait to go back to The Diamond Guys to work with Tina and find our...
