MAD Greens — Restaurant in Phoenix

My partner and I actually love Mad Greens food. This review is based on the service experience we have had over 2 visits to this location, and doesn’t include any negative feedback for the Phoenix location, where we’ve always been treated well and enjoyed the food. This review is specifically focused on one employee. I tweeted and left a voicemail before posting this, in hopes of resolving the issue without a one star review. No response. So here goes. My partner and I have been to a Mad Greens every weekend for lunch since December. We enjoy the food and at least it feels like we’re eating healthy. The first time we encountered the employee in question, we ordered two identical bowls. At this point, I’ll share that I’m overweight. The person helping us looked at me with all seriousness and said “These are both for you, aren’t they?” Then she looked over at the other person assisting us and they laughed. My partner looked at her and said “why would you say that? But she didn’t answer and stopped any engagement with us. Skip ahead to the weekend of February 9th and she was working again. She was serving a diner ahead of me in line and was cordial and friendly with them. Then she saw me and as she created my entree, she literally stared at me, her face was a ball of contempt and she THREW the food into the prep bowl in an aggressive manner, staring at me the whole time. When it came time to put my salad into a serving bowl, she took the top one, which was noticeably dirty, looking like someone had just wiped the last salad out of it and put it back to use again. She stood there, the bowl in her hand at least 10 seconds , looking at it, then looking at me and she got a little smirk on her face and put my food into the dirty bowl. I was so embarrassed and humiliated that I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t eat it and I didn’t want to create a scene after being through an entire year of PTSD from other issues. The thing is that we’ll be back, but next time she waits on me, I won’t stand for being treated...

Ive come here a few times, no more than 5 times. I work up the street within walking distance. I get an hour lunch, so I enjoy that. Anyways, i rate this a 2 star because of the people that work here. The food is great, but I dont like the customer service I’ve encountered so far. Not one good experience with them. Decent is a better word, but not good.

My first time was the worse because the girl that or prepped my salad looked as if she was having a bad day and didnt want to make my food for me. But She did, but didnt ring me up, and just put my plate by the register and walked off without a word. so I’m just standing there thinking she’s gonna come back at some point. Nope. So some random other person rung me up.

I never get an “Hi, Welcome to Mad Greens”, or “Hi, welcome in” or “Hey. How’s it going? What can i get started for you?” All the faces are as if they don’t wanna be there, as if its tension. The manager I’m assuming is this white lady who never smiles as well. The mood is off at this place I dunno whats going on. I like the style/set up and atmosphere of the place. But with the mood off and mediocre customer service, makes me wanna go elsewhere. Salad N’ Go, whole Foods Market, etc.

Also when leaving the plates, bowls, and silverware are always packed to the rim, some tables are not wiped off. Poor Management is probably what the issue is here. This is Scottsdale man. Upper echelon of Phoenix, get some better people in here. These people here act as if this is 19th and Indian school road or...

I have been eating here for quite some time now I would go in about 3 times a week. Love this place told all my friends. My friends really liked it too. But not so much anymore. The Veggie wraps are horrible now. There's hardly anything in them. They fall apart. They tell you they fall apart because of the tortilla. But the main Reason is they don't put anything in them anymore. There's a new manager there. It's a young girl, don't know her name. But she'll just give Me a few pieces of lettuce. You ask for more and she won't do it. So I just quit ordering the wraps. I will order them on Friday and Saturday. There is a gentleman They're that is a manager . He makes it the right way. If he's not there I started to order salads But when I got to the tomatoes She said there's a $2 charge. She literally gave me 5 Little half of tomatoes. For $2 On a large salad. . About ready to quit going there. Because I don't like that girl's attitude. She will just tell you that she's making it right. Sorry, but I don't think everybody there is wrong and she Is right. Same with onions when I ask for onions she just put A few on what a joke. I don't know, she just has attitude with me. Because she doesn't like me because I said something I asked her nicely for more Lettuce And she said no This is how you make it. I told her she's the only one that Make it that way. And she said she's the only one that makes it right I hardly think that is right I don't think anyone would...
