If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Yesterday I was at Quest doing some analysis that were sent by my doctor. After doing all the blood work, the Quest personnel told me that my doctor had requested a stool test. They gave me all the instructors, with all the "equipment" to do the test at home. They also told me that on the following day I had to return the stool samples and that, when I arrived at Quest to drop off the sample, I had to log in the iPad they have on the entrance (because they have no people out front) and advise that I was dropping off. They told me someone will come out and get it quickly since it was only a drop off and all the information they needed was in the system. They game me these instructions and I followed accordingly.
I did EXACTLY as I was told. Then, this morning I went to Quest to drop off my stool sample and it was completely full, not even an empty seat. I didn't mind since I thought it was going to be a quick wait. Thus, I proceeded as I was told. I logged in through the iPad and selected the drop off option, then in the big screen I see that in 8 minutes they would assist me. After 8 minutes, it went up again to 4 minutes, and then 4 minutes more, and continued like that a couple of more times. Then it went down to 1 minute. When someone finally opened the door I thought they were going to call my name, which they didn't. When I asked the Quest personnel about my turn, in a very rude manner, she told me that I had to wait until I was called. Then I see in the screen 4 minutes more. So when would it be my turn since the screen keeps on adding and deleting minutes and no one is kind enough to assist me?
After waiting 15 more minutes I took the envelope that had my stool sample, name, address, phone number, date of birth, and all the information and codes as stated in the label provided by Quest, and dropped it off at the counter that was INSIDE (not outside in the waiting room). So basically I put my hand through the window that opens to the waiting room and left my sample INSIDE, where they could easily see it. This afternoon I called the laboratory to make sure they had received everything. I explained what had happened to the receptionist, she logs into the system and says that the test was pending and had not been done. Completely false since I left the sample in the morning and left it in a place where they could clearly see it. Consequently and apparently, they did not want to accept my sample.
I believe the personnel in this Quest got the impression that I, or anyone else for that matter, could wait the whole day for them to collect something. I'm not used to going to places where no one has the decency to assist people who are outside waiting. Or even the decency to assist people who have question or concerns. If they would have told me from the beginning that, on the day I would drop off the sample, I needed to wait, I would have asked for the morning off from work and would have stayed there, waiting. But, since the Quest personnel told me that they would collect the sample quickly once I dropped it off, I scheduled my day accordingly and pushed my meetings just a little bit further.
Please know that I have NO PROBLEM waiting. If they would have been upfront with me I would have stayed and waited the whole day if that is what's needed to be done for them to collect my sample. The wait time, or the fact that I was standing up for almost 45 minutes without a seat is not the reason I'm giving this place 1 star. It's the lack of professionalism, decency, and attention to the clients what really throws me off. A place that is designed to help people and make their medical experiene go by seamlessly is not being considerate to others. It goes beyond wait time. It's the inability to communicate properly and be transparent to their clients.
I will not visit this Quest again. Nor I recommend this place to anyone else. Please go somewhere where they value your time and are considerate and attentive to their customers. That goes a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA third world country worst lab is better than thisplace. If you are 10 min late your app is cancelled . The shopping center has parking full all the time . The building has a send level parking thatās always closed off . Just find parking can easily add 30 min to your appointment. System will prompt you to either call & reschedule or add yourself to a standby list . To which they will not be call in order if you ask any questions which will piss them off. My parent is 85 disabled with MS & recovering from fractured femur. Because parking was a big issue we were past the 10 minute si appointment was cancelled. I tried speaking to an employee called Mades & Ayoni the attitude was poor to say the least & instead the wait list was made longer . The overall care at this lab is the worst of the worst Almost 2 hour wait . Horrible attitudes . No parking availability & itās a lab factory attitude operation This location of a Pinecrest is the worst . If you can go to any other lab donāt hesitate. This is my second review I have given about this lab . Itās gone from bad to worst .
See below my first experience:
I made an appointment on the phone for 10:30am for a Saturday. This is what I was given . I then get and appointment time in the email that says 7:40am instead . I show up on time even a few minutes before time given . I sign in to their sign in machine cause thereās no human at front window .I waited for over an hour . All patients were called in even walk ins without appointments. I inquired with person calling in patients several times and they told me to just keep waiting. After a long period of waiting I inquire again . Only to be treated very rudely by a supposed supervisor that talked down to me to tell me my appointment was set for a Pacific standard time of 7:40am but since Iām in Easter standard time itās 10:30am appointment. After more than hour wait I got called in . This is the worst experience ever. Not only did appointment was screwed up and put for California time when I reside in Florida, but to add insult to injury the personal care and customer service from the supervisor called Shakara at this location was the worst ever. Sheās was rude , condescending & not fit to deal with the public . She makes quest look like a 3rd World Country operation with a mouthful of rudeness overload . My parent is a regular customer and due to this experience Iām searching for another lab for the future. The only positive thing I have to say that even the person on the phone who screwed up time locating on appointment was better than the kind of treatment I got from so called supervisor...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHonestly a traumatizing experience. I went in with an appointment to get some tests done that my PCP had ordered. I had an appointment and was called within minutes- no issue there. The issues started when I corrected the staff on how to say my name and they laughed. I get called Ava a lot being in Miami where many people speak Spanish but most people apologize once corrected and are told itās Eva. I do not speak Spanish and all of the staff I interacted with were Spanish speakers, only knowing enough English to get by with a heavy accent. As I was talking to the nurse about my tests I could barely understand which made me more anxious, as this would be my second time having blood drawn ever. She starts drawing my blood and asks how Iām feeling, I tell her Iām dizzy and I let her know I started to see spots. I tell her Iām not doing so good but she continues to draw blood. I passed out for 7 minutes. When I regained consciousness there were 2 unfamiliar blurry faces who I could faintly hear and couldnāt understand with the accent. I thought I was in a bad accident and had woken up in the ER- I didnāt know where I was and didnāt remember I was getting bloodwork done. After a couple of minutes I gather my wits but am once again disoriented as they move me to a waiting area. They said I needed to sit for 15 minutes and then I can finish the rest of my tests. I am shaken up and a little bit dazed as I wait (by myself). They come get me once time is up and are quick to resume with testing not giving much comfort or explanation. After doing a breath test and giving a urine sample I ask if there are anymore tests and she says āno more byeā and sends me on my way. I return home, eat something, and try to rest but then get a phone call telling me she forgot to give me one of the tests. Not only was this a scary experience for me but I didnāt even get to mark this off of my to-do list. I will never be returning to this horrific establishment and will do all of my testing with my PCP even if my insurance doesnāt cover it after...
