Iāve wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine for as long as I can remember, but I never had anyone to teach me. Then I found Sew Pinellas, and honestly⦠it has been life-changing.
Iāve taken Intro to Sewing Level 1 and Level 2 here, and the difference compared to my very first (unhelpful) class elsewhere is night and day. The instructors at Sew Pinellas arenāt just skilledāthey are patient, encouraging, and so inspiring. They give you the confidence to not only learn but to actually create.
Because of them, Iāve already made pieces Iām proud ofātaking their designs, adding my own twist, and watching them come to life. I never thought Iād say this, but Iām even considering starting an Etsy shop! Thatās how much theyāve lit this spark in me.
Sew Pinellas isnāt ājustā sewing classesāitās an experience, a community, and an investment in yourself. Iām beyond grateful to have found them and so excited to see where this journey...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took their introduction to sewing class & it forever changed me. I ended up buying a machine from them by my third class because I fell in love with sewing. Through the three classes, I was able to learn how to properly thread a machine, proper clearance, ways to cut fabric, etc. We even walked away with a double line zipper pouch, as well as a pillow that we both worked on in class. it felt so rewarding to go home with a project that we personally made. My class had four people, and I loved the small classroom aspect of the program. It was so nice to try out different types of machines to get a feel for which one I liked before purchasing. Catharine was a true gem as a teacher because she taught us her little tricks of the trade. I canāt wait to try out some of their other programs in the future while improving on my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWonderful place, for people with a passion for sewing to come together. They offer private sewing lessons, and have sewing workshops as well (such as for bralettes!). I went there today for their open door shopping time, to peruse through the bins of discounted things such as knitting needles, LOTS of lace, crochet needles, machine thread, and SO much more!! The owner is really nice and incredibly knowledgeable about sewing, materials, and techniques among other things! One of her employees, Catherine, was a delight to talk to and she is also very knowledgeable about historical clothing! I highly recommend checking this place out :). There's also an online store for lingerie supplies and just so much cool stuff (I think it's called...
