DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM THIS RETAILER. THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES ARE CORRUPT AND NOT CUSTOMER-CENTRIC. THEY WILL INTENTIONALLY SEND YOU THE WRONG ITEM AND THEN WITHHOLD A REFUND AND SOLUTION. I have filed a BBB complaint (as many others have for the same exact reason) and had to request a charge back through my credit card. Their inventory is NOT worth the hassle.
I ordered a cheap necklace from Francesca's online to match a dress for a wedding. Francesca's delivered the wrong item and refused to provide a refund or even confirm if the correct item was in stock until I printed a return label, dropped off the necklace at a UPS location, and replied to their email with proof of drop-off. Every other retailer I have done business with (Target, BestBuy, Macy's, Nordstrom's, American Eagle, Hollister, etc.) will send the correct item immediately once proof of the wrong item is presented or provide a refund immediately. Industry standard is to request the incorrect item be dropped off at the customer's leisure or discarded/kept. Francesca's puts the burden of solution on the customer and does not care to provide solutions that make the customer feel heard or cared for. Read moreStaff is TOO friendly. I walked into the store and was immedialty asked if I needed help and politely declined. I began to look around and not even 5 minutes later, I was asked the same question to which I responded with the same answer, only slightly more irritated. I continued looking around and saw a dress I liked so I picked it up off the rack and before I could even finish looking through the store.. there the women is again.. asking me if I needed a dressing room.. I shook my head in frustration and she took the dress right from my hands and put the item in a room for me, even though the rooms are unlocked and I know exactly where to find them and I could very easily just get to it myself when I'm ready. This isn't the first time I've had an experience here like this and I know others who have as well. I understand theft is an issue and these people are trying to do their jobs but the store is very small and has cameras, it's really not necessary to breathe down customers necks while they're trying to shop. The patron soon left and instead of greeting me, the worker instead went on her phone ignoring me the entire time. This used to be my favorite store and I was looking forward to making many purchases, however, I won’t be coming back to a store where the blonde woman at the desk can’t even be bothered to say a simple hello. Very disappointed with this behavior. This was a woman on Friday, October 24th. It was only me and her in the store, so it shouldn’t have been a problem at all to offer any type of assistance. Edit: I’ve now seen that other people have had this same experience as a Black or Brown person. What’s especially interesting is that while I was planning on purchasing many clothing items, the other patron that the worker was conversing with purchased absolutely nothing.
