St. Anthony of Lisbon Portuguese Celebration — Local services in Pismo Beach

This place makes the best soupish in our area. If you go on St. Anthony weekend Celebration and donate whst you can afford you can get a big pan with a loaf of bread. It comes nice and warm. You can get 2. Freeze one for later. These wonderful ppl work so hard for days cooking this snd serve it after the parade as well as after Mass on Sunday. They donate this money to various charities to help children and others in need. They hold a raffle and a dance on Saturday night. Its such a wonderful, rich & beautiful tradition that we are truly blessed to still have in our area. Come join us, one time a year. Also remember your donation is tax deductible. It is one of the most enjoyable memories I have growing up in this area. Remember though they no longer deliver unless you are home bound. You have to go pick it up about 6am on Saturday morning the week of the celebration. Keep an eye out in Pismo Beach each summer for the banners they put up telling you which weekend it is. I believe its after the 4th of July but don't mark my word on the date. Do go try the soupish though!...
