I think this place breaks the stereotypes of county workers being disinterested paper pushers. I found that everyone I dealt with was polite, courteous, and most importantly, HELPFUL!
I needed to do a pro se filing of an appeal, and the law is complicated to a non-lawyer. All three people I worked with helped me accomplish exactly what I needed to. I also always wear a Swiss Army knife (its a tool, not a weapon, but it is still not allowed inside the building). Again, no sweat. The security guards held onto it for me, gave me a claim check, and I got it back with no complaints as I was leaving.

Read moreVisiting from out of state and stopped by to check out the gingerbread exhibit. The entrance is on the other side of the building which they don’t say on the door. My main complaint is the staff, they are very rude to the point of ignorant and talk back. Getting through security is more obnoxious than it should be, the process is simple but what the guard does in terms of checking items they don’t say what their doing then give you attitude for not undertaking their non-verbalness.
If y’all are gonna put on an exhibit , expecting families, and children to come at least have your staff know how to communicate. It’s a great exhibit but the attitude just leaving and coming puts a pretty sour mood...

It would be nice if there was a more centrally located, updated, possibly digital directory to show people which departments to go to obtain court records, passports, to pay taxes, file an application, etc., with their respective department phone numbers. Also, I realized Google has the wrong number on the website when you search for the building. The number listed is the City Clerk's Office which isn't the main number for the building (and not the court clerk, either!). Wish Google would...
