So much fun!! You first pick out the art piece you want to paint. There is a variety of prices. The cheaper ones are flat pieces that can be made into magnets (for a small extra fee.) The pricier items are bigger things like mugs and piggy banks, plates, vases, large figurines, etc.
You then pay for your pottery pieces and pick out a table to sit at. You get to pick out your own paint bottles. There are containers of various paintbrushes and stencils and dotting tools next to the paint bottles. It is mostly a help yourself atmosphere, which I personally love. The workers are lovely and willing to help if you need them. They get water for your paintbrushes and tend to check in periodically to see if you'd like some fresh water.
Take your time and paint whatever colors and designs you want. As long as you leave by quitting time, haha. When you are finished with your piece (remember to paint at least 3 layers for the best outcome), you bring your pottery up to the counter. The workers will hang onto your art and make it all pretty and shiny in the kiln (behind the scenes.) They will call you a couple days later or whenever their turn around time is to let you know your piece is ready to be picked up! They have a sign next to the counter that displays the current turnaround date.
