This place is mismanaged. They set all these rules in place but dont have the means or will to actually enforce them. One example is the parking garage. They claim that you will be towed if you park in there without a parking permit. Well they change the parking permit repeatedly, and I always came home to find my whole floor was filled with cars without permits, for weeks. Another is they do not want people to prop open the security gates (for our protection) yet they are propped open every day, though unnecessary as some dont even close all the way. Also they're maintenance and front office is a mess. You have to call repeatedly to get anything done. And half of that time is because their phones are down or they hang up on you. Maintenance really does a good job, but whoever is in charge of that has no idea what they're doing to a point they will argue with you on the phone if you have any disagreements. It's also not great if you live here for 2 years and have to have maintenance come by and constantly fix and replace things to a point you think you're getting them from goodwill. They're cleaning staff is also hard working, though rare. Ive repeatedly seen food and other messes remain in the hallways for weeks.
These might be the most over priced apartments I've ever lived in. You might defend them and say the location is prime. While that is true in some cases, it is also the thing that is ruining the location. Some stores and restaurants have had to leave because their rent is so high, which makes the location not really worth it if businesses keep leaving. You can easily tell that the money that is spent on rent here is 90% put towards landscaping. The outside is very nice, while theres holes in the ceiling, stairwells have broken rails, hallways have broken lights, the package center has a broken fob reader and broken monitors on the inside, elevators and doors are constantly broken, and parking garage doors are bent on the sides. Though I should admit they committed to about a month of painting, though now it's just ugly colors and the holes plastered over. Landscaping crews are here about every day, replacing flowers, cutting down trees, etc. Which causes it's own problems.
The first problem is the streets around the apartment. One car or truck with lawnmowers parked on the side and traffic becomes hazardous. The streets are so narrow that just one car can turn it into a potential wreck zone. Now this doesn't really fall on the apartment complex, because some people are just bad drivers, but it is something to consider when you move here, that you will have close calls every day, especially in the parking garage.
My number one problem is the noise. I should state that I had an apartment that looked down to a beautiful courtyard, and faced an ugly parking garage and may not apply to units facing a street or other places. When I first moved here, I worked nights. I quickly had to quit that job because the noise level meant it was impossible for me to get sleep during the day. From the leaf blowers that come almost every day in the fall before 9am, to the car alarms that echo throughout the complex due to facing a concrete parking garage, to the constant construction that goes on. This amplifies every car door slammed shut, every phone conversation someone could be having. And the absolute worst is the vehicles in the garage. From people who think burning rubber and accelerating as fast as they can on the 50 yards stretch of garage in the middle of the night is fun, or the bike owners who have to rev their engines over and over, before speeding down to the exit. They also do not honor policies and deals other Lincoln properties do. Terrible place to live. Do not move here. Attached are pictures of a broken light, where a leak sprang, mold and a door that wont close all the way. Cons Overpriced and unfair pricing Noise Level Hazardous traffic Mismanaged office All money goes to outside while inside desperately needs work Pros Nice units Location Friendly pet policy Great maintenance staff Never...
Read more2025: I had to pay for my pet sitter to be able to use the gate entry app because I don’t have a job where I can keep my phone on me and enter her at any minute. She’s been coming for 6 years. Manager was not helpful again.
11/8/24- my fire alarm has been beeping in my bed room since 6:45. I called the er line because my dog is going crazy. When this happened previously they came in 30 mins at night. It’s 9:22 am.
10/6/24 - adding to the review. I’ve lived here for 6 years when I moved in everything was new with Lincoln management. Now that I’ve lived here everything is falling apart. I’ve submitted emails about my water heater before. It’s rusted out at the bottom. The water pan has rust in it. You can feel water seeping out from the bottom. You can see new water marks. Check everything in your apt before you move in. The water heater probably hasn’t been changed for at least 6 years. This place is made so cheaply that it’s starts falling apart. See my sink issues below. I’ll add video of the water heater. Hopefully they won’t make me Pay for a water heater
I’ve officially sent 3 emails as well as maintenance request to have the dryer fixed this week. This is the second go around of this after last month.
I lived here six years. The managing company prior To Bell was much better. The place has slowly deteriorated. So the status of the apt complex is reflected in the main office staff. I will not mention names because this is ultimately their jobs. The manager cannot keep up with complex issues going on.
After living here this long, my sink started to crack. I was told it looked like I threw something in it. I didn’t. I’m 40 years old and do not throw items in my apartment. They made me PAY for the sink. I had to go through home rental insurance for this. The insurance guy was so confused as well as to why I was paying for a sink after I sent in pictures. Now I’m scared that when I finally do leave this place, I’ll be charged for every blemish despite living here 6 years and never missing rent etc.
During the entire sink debacle, I found out that I had been being charged for NOT having rental insurance since Dec 2022. This of course is not accurate and I was able to provide all liberty mutual documents to prove that. I was NOT reimbursed but a few months.
The courtyard and trash issues have slowly become worse. The other reviews go into that. I’ve never seen rats here until this past summer. I don’t live near the main pool. When I walked by there in the summer, the base to the music was going off continuously at night. With an apartment complex this large, shouldn’t there be a security guard monitoring this?
The walls were repaired in the hallway this week due to cracks everywhere. 🤔 there is now paint everywhere at the entrance and beside my door.
The only maintenance person that knows what they are doing is the maintenance manager. Everyone else is only good for air filters and light bulbs. I truly think they are hiring people off that streets that then use their golf carts to go to Dunkin’ Donuts in the morning.
Since jan 2024, the fire alarms have been going off consistently. My dog has panic attacks with any high pitch noise now.
Until about Summer 2024 there were 3 air bnb apts in my building where random people would walk in and be vacationing. Despite being notified, they allowed this to continue
I’m trying to save money to leave this place. There is a fee for everything they can possibly think of. The location is good. However, don’t waste your money on this place or a place that Bell Management owns. I’m an honest hard working person that just wants to come home where I don’t have to worry about paying for wear and tear of my apt on top of 1600 rent for a one bedroom apt. It was a $1000 when I moved in.
Summer 2024 - tons of dryer issues. Took at least 3xs for them to fix it.
See photos regarding the paint in the hallway, the dryer and my sink debacle. This only skims the surface on pics I could provide. Remember I had to pay $375...
Read moreGreedy and a lack of empathy and care are the best words to describe the people who are in charge at Legacy North.
I was a tenant for almost 4 years at their phase 1 building. I along with other Tenants were fooled by the lower cost of rent than other places in the area. Do not make that same mistake.
Right from the jump at move in day the elevators were broken which caused movers 3-4 additional hours using the stairs. Surely I thought this was just a once in a blue moon situation and decided to just eat the costs. I was mistaken. Like all the other reviews you read here the elevators are CONSTANTLY broken. These weren't just 1-2 week occurrences. They were down for months. The elevators were broken more times than they worked in the 40 months I lived here. We had older family members who could not visit due the constant malfunctioning elevators.
Next up is the quality of the apartment building. When we received the keys the unit we were given was clearly not move in ready. There was paint on the floor, missing blinds, towel bars that were not secured to the wall, missing light fixtures, etc. There were plumbing issues which caused the toilet to flood or not flush. These all happened in the span of the first 4 months of our lease. There was even a situation where water leaked from units above us which damaged our curtains and furniture. Better yet the master bedroom was always 5-10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. When we asked the maintenance about this issue, I was told that "since the building is an older building the ducts aren't well designed." Speaking of the air ducts there was mold growing out of the return ducts in 2 separate rooms. They sent a "cleaning crew" to clean the vents and in less than 2 months the mold came back. These are all issues that were not new to this building. After speaking with neighbors and reading the reviews this is an ongoing issue that they just continue to put band aids on instead of taking care of their residents. None of this was addressed prior move in. On top of that the floors in the living room were sinking. We were told it was due to water damage from a previous tenant. Also the locks and security in the phase one building have been out of commission since 2022.
Now to the leasing office. Good luck trying to get a hold of them. They just care about bringing new tenants in and not taking care of their actual residents. They will not answer the phone or ever call you back.
The final straw with them finally came at time of moveout. Even though the paint color in our unit needed to be updated due to a new color they are doing in phase 1 they still asked to put primer on the walls to "avoid being charged $100 per wall". What they don't tell you however is that if your primer work is not to "professional" standards they will charge you $497.00 for one room. They then will get on the phone with you and tell you that "we did not force you to paint your unit". This is after making sure we asked for permission and were told that painting is okay in this complex. Other apartment units in the area that I have lived in have actually stated that there is no need to paint. They will update everything anyways and they would rather do it themselves. Not only will Legacy North not do that for you, they will tell you what primer or paint to buy, then charge you more money for not doing it properly. No I am not a professional painter but every square inch of that room was primed with several coats. Spending over $200 on primer, taking the time to paint, and then being charged $497.00 for a paint fee was truly the last straw.
Overall please do yourself a favor and live somewhere else. They do not have the professionalism and communication to properly take care of the people who live there. They ran raffles for 5 star reviews so the overall ratings seem to be better than it truly is. Read the reviews here within just the past 2 months and filter past the "fake ones". You will see the true resident experience at...
