The Laundry House — Local services in Platte City

The cleanliness was excellent, you can tell the owners care very much about maintaining a clean space. There are also many signs that create the expectation for customers be cleanly. can appreciate that. It's always nice to know small business owners value their reputation... more on that later. Prices were a bit higher than I am used to but the cleanliness honestly makes up for that in my book. It's not overpriced, it may not be what you want if you're looking for a budget-friendly laundry facility. Truly, this is such a big thing for me. The staff. I had one good interaction with a staff member, a machine had jammed, and I was assisted very quickly. But. I CANNOT get over how profane, loud, and blatantly obnoxious multiple members of the staff were. Conversations were shouted, not had in a professional manner. I was wearing noice-canceling headphones and regularly heard "cackling"/laughing from behind the desk. Normally, I'd let that slide and be glad the staff enjoys their job? I can't let it slide though, because the amount of profane/explicit language I overheard clearly from multiple employees. Some language is not made for the workplace. I was not the only customer, and there was even a child at one point in my time there. The lack of professional courtesy and manners is the only reason for my lower review, it was a deal-breaker for me. It might...

Cons. Only giving 2 stars because of the prices Spending a mandatory $1.75 for 30 minutes is a bit outrageous. As other laundromats in Missouri have where you can spend in 25 cents Increments, And they are just as clean with Fully working and top tear equipment. I believe this facility is taking advantage of consumers due to the fact that they are the only facility around in the area. I was just a traveling through trucker today and needed to wash and dry my clothes, now to be fare I probably won't return. but if it works for the people in the community then 🤷🏿 oh well. But hopefully this facility stops with the Gouging of prices and stop saying that there prices are on point to match other facilities in Missouri or the industry paired because it's a LIE, I go all over these 50 states and this was the most expensive place I've been to. 😳

I’m a wary traveler passing through and I’m glad I found this place. I’m an electrician in the IBEW and travel the country for work. I have seen my fair share of laundry mats. This one is the best by far! You’re able to use an app to pay for the laundry machines so no coins needed! Extremely clean place. The owner is an awesome guy. They offer laundry service at a great price or you can launder yourself. The price for what you are getting is great. Large new machines that really work. I have a 7yr old that loves mud and his clothes came out looking great. Hot coffee for you and tv to watch while you wait. If I’m ever in the area again this is definitely my go to spot.
