Yesterday I had the braised beef on top of soy sauce noodles. The saltiness ruined the meal. The noodles were so salty I could not eat much of them and I was hangry... The braised beef was tasty but way fatty... I did complain about the saltiness of my meal and I was told by the waiter that I was not the only one. complaining. Other guests sent the food back..Why didnt I do that? I am too polite i guess. My friend ordered the melted cheese sandwich..it was mostly bread withvery little cheese...nothing special for the price. She was so disappointed. This place can be so much better with a little attention to detail. I did give them a second chance as everyone deserves a 2nd chance.... On the another occasion I had their chicken marsala. This was presented to me almost cold with a ton of mushroom gravy. I could not believe the amount of gravy on my plate !!!!! It tasted very good...It didn't come with any bread or anything to sop up the gravy. I ordered some bread and it would have been nice if there was some butter...but no there wasn't . I think complimentary bread and butter should always accompany a meal like this.. I was charged extra for the couple tiny pieces of bread. The one piece of chicken was good and somewhere on the plate I was told t would be mashed potatoes. Somehow I missed them. Maybe yhey were swimming in the gravy perhaps ? There was no vegetable served with the meal. Just chicken and lots of gravy. FORGET ABOUT ORDERING THE DUCK FAT POTATOES !!! The tiny amount of potatoes tasted no different if I sprinkled olive oil on them and undercooked them in my airfryer. They were so disappointing for their price.. This place should not charge high prices for sub par food. Not worth the money........and btw... FIX THE ACOUSTICS IN THE PLACE. not that I'm ever coming back.... The music was a LOUD AWFUL CHOICE. Gave me a headache. Sit outside it's lovely out there in the soft breezes. The service was very good the only saving grace in the place. The waiters work hard and are...
Read moreWhat my wife and I had was an absolutely, incredible evening at Ruby's and Roses for our 34 year wedding anniversary!! First of all, we were welcomed by the most friendly host staff, who greeted us in a very sincere way!! Every point of entry is absolutely brilliant, with lovely photo opportunities at each location. We were more than thankful that we chose this Restaurant!! We cherished the ambience, wonderful service, and the extremely delicious food. Our server Diego, was welcoming, very friendly, and so knowledgeable and helpful, as we inquired about the menu. He did not miss a beat throughout our meal. He was simply wonderful!! We started with the oysters, which were flavorful, seasoned perfect and delightful in taste. My wife had the Beef Wellington, which she said was so savory and delicious . I had the spicy cioppino, loaded with Mussels, succulent jumbo prawns, cooked to perfection, along with pieces of delectable salmon in a mouth watering taragon broth. This was accompanied by immense flavored squid ink pasta which was delectable!!.We both took food home. The Portions were very generous! Paola, who delivered our food, was also very engaging throughout our meal and she really made us feel welcome. We can not wait to visit again! We really want to thank the owners, and their staff for a phenomenal evening. It was world class ambience, food, and service! Thank you for making our night Special in so many ways!!! We can't wait to see you again very...
Read moreLovely place for brunch or lunch. Very nicely decorated throughout. Many opportunities for great photos. Servers were attentive and friendly. Drinks were creative and tasty, not too strong. My friend ordered their non alcoholic drink and commented that it actually tasted as if there was alcohol. I was slightly disappointed in the flavors of some of the food options, which is why I rated 4 stars. We ordered mostly from the starter menu with one entree. They were out of the bone marrow dish, such a bummer! The garlic lover starter was definitely my favorite. I just wish the garlic was spreadable but I was fine to eat it whole. The garlic wasn't overpowering I wasn't left with garlic breath. The curry style mussels were another favorite really great taste. The bao sliders I would not recommend. While the plating was nice, they were overly salty. They also packed in flavor. There were bell peppers and greens but absolutely no taste to them just a huge salt bomb. I'm not a fan of jambalaya but I would absolutely order this dish again. It paired really well with pasta versus rice. There was also a spice to it that we were not expecting. We ended with the moulted chocolate cake and lotus cookie with ice cream. Both desserts were very delicious.
I'd recommend this place if you're in the area but would probably not go out of my way to visit. Although I may just have to visit again to try the...
