TV GAMERS & STREAMING VIDEO WATCHERS BE WARNED. BRING A UNIVERSAL REMOTE BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY TO CHANGE INPUT ON TVs!!! I doubt a universal remote will work. You get an HD TV and have to watch SD. Note 1: if you have a hockey tournament up in Phoenixville and West Chester this hotel bridges the gap fairly nicely. Therefore, this is a good location for this purpose. Note 2: If your team is coming here and wants to swim, then you must reserve the pool since other teams will want to use it. My son enjoys ice hockey, and a tournament is being held up here in Phoenixville. Unfortunately the tournament proprietors are railroading us into staying at a local hotel or his team would be ineligible to play in the tournament. Now the bad part of this whole shady deal is I can't use my points or any other discount for my two night stay. Furthermore, I am paying premium rates. Now on to the review, first don't bother calling the front desk from your room, no one answers. Next I called the front desk via a local call. Surely they'll pick up... Now two identical automated systems decided to field my call eventually to the hotel, whereby they hung up on me. We call that strike 1. Strike 2, a TV with multiple ports (e g. HDMI, VGA, DVI, USB, Ethernet etc.) that are useless because they give you a cheap "1990s" hotel remote control. There isn't even buttons on the TV. Ugh irritating, when I finally reached the front desk they apparently threw out all of the LG TV remotes. Strike 3, the beds. Extremely uncomfortable and tiny. I don't remember queen mattresses being this small. Two adults won't fit on these comfortably, dare I say two children wouldn't either. All and all, a hotel that had promise on arrival becomes a forcibly uncomfortable stay for 2 nights... Fabulous 🙃. Now I know why we're stuck having to choose one of the tournaments hand picked hotels. It's only fair that I tell you, a different room may be better, or you're a caveman that prefers to sleep on the floor of a cave.

Stayed here this past weekend for Friday night into Saturday. Initially I booked a double room, as my daughter was supposed to stay with me. Instead, she stayed at the college overnight. I told the young man at the front desk that I no longer needed a double, in case it was needed for someone else. When I went up to my room it was just perfect. A little suite with a king bed and a ton of pillows...a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave, and a sitting area with a couch/pull out. (It did look a bit saggy, but I did not use it. ) I stopped at the front desk again to ask for local restaurants and was given a printout... and personal references as well. Also went to the gym. Pretty well equipped with free weights, balls, treadmills and ellipticals. I think there was a bike too. Unfortunately, a slew of kids came in about 15 to 20 minutes into my workout. They were yelling and throwing things around. Although I asked them to keep it down, they basically ignored me. I got off my machine and called the front desk. It just rang and rang. No answer. However, the kids did leave once I picked up the phone. I was not thrilled about the towels in the room. On the thin side. Also had a rough time getting the TV to go On. It finally did though. Breakfast was nice. Fresh fruit, waffles (make your own), scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal with all the toppings, juices and coffee. Very nice for the price!

Sorry to say that I don't see where these good ratings are coming from. Do yourself a favor and don't ignore the negative reviews like I did before making reservations. This place isn't cheap. Got two rooms, both smell like they haven't been cleaned in a while. Crumbs on sofa bed, "private hairs" on beds, holes in sheets, broken AC in one room, one rooms door lock is malfunctioning because the bolt gets stuck, extremely squeaky room door (like WTH(?!) kind of squeaky to the point where it woke my daughter up every time it's opened), paper thin doors and loud hallways. Oh and then before all that, front counter kept telling us we only reserved one room until we dug up the email confirmation, making their rude faces turn flustered. It would be one thing if I paid $40 at motel 6, because it's $40 for a place called motel 6. This place was almost $150 per room. Please take your money elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and don't ignore the negative reviews like I did before making reservations.

All in all it has been a nice stay so far. It's not phenomenal but it gets the job done and meets most expectations for the price. While I did give a 3 star review, this is just from my own personal experience and comparing the hotel to similar places in the area. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I was in a pinch (my usual hotels we're overbooked). First the not so great: The room was pretty nice and quite spacious, however in my single king bed room the TV and dresser were placed awkwardly between the living room couch area and bedroom. Because of this you have to either crane your neck or move the dresser and TV into the bedroom if you want to watch it. The bedroom closet is right up against the bed, making it kinda awkward to get things out of, but it's got a lot in it and isn't much of a problem. There's only one nightstand (opposite the closet side of the bed) and there not any place to plug in a phone/laptop by the bed unless you unplug the lamp/clock. If you need both of those you'll have to charge your laptop/phone in the other room over on the desk, which is quite far from the bed (relatively). Finally my rooms door lock was very hard to open. After sliding the key card you need to push the handle very far (feels way too far) and with alot of force. One handed operation was completely out of the question. When swinging closed after opening it it sounded like the mechanism was messed up and you'd have to wait 20 seconds before you can force it closed. This may not be an issue to some, but after a long day traveling for work it's just annoying. One last thing is that while they had fast WiFi it was completely unlocked and didn't even have a portal where you put in a room number. While some may see this is a plus, it's disconcerning since it's hard to tell if it's the actual hotels WiFi or someone running a spoofed hotspot. You can form your own opinions on this. Now for the good: The room was clean and cozy, the only exception was a stink bug that made it's way into the bathroom, but this is the time of year they somehow sneak indoors. No weird odors or stains. The bed was made and clean. Countertops we're streak free and clean as well. I was impressed how spotless the microwave was, it's a good indicator that the place was well kept. There was a lot of towels and wash cloths. The room also came with a nice fridge and a good amount of coffee, confiments and disposable flatware. The bed was comfortable enough and I didn't have any trouble sleeping. One thing of note is that I had a room right next to the elevator. Even with this, there was no noise or vibrations. The bedroom is far back enough that you don't hear anything in the hallway either. Breakfast was included and was about what you'd expect. Not much of note there. The staff was nice and got my checked in quickly. I called down to ask for salt and pepper and I was walked though over the phone where I could find it in my room. If I couldn't find any they would gladly get some from the...

I am writing this because I was highly disappointed in the service I received at one of your hotels and need some answers.
I just stayed for four nights (January 8th-11th 2019) at your Springhill Suites Hotel on military duty. Everything was fine until Thursday night January 10th around 10:15 pm, I talked to one of your front desk personnel about emailing me my receipt for the hotel stay, and he (the front desk personnel) said that it would not be a problem and that he had put it in the system. I said okay and then headed back to my room. Friday morning January 11th I drove back to my military station and when settled checked my email for receipt, there was no receipt. I called back to the hotel at 2:31pm and explained to the lady, whom answered, that I did not receive my email with receipt, I explained that I talked to a man on duty the night before and she said it was inputted incorrectly by him and she would fix it and send out to me right after. I got busy and did not check my email again to Saturday night January 12th, and once I looked I realized once again I had received no email with a receipt, so I called back to the hotel around 10:51pm. A man answered and I explained to him my situation and he said that he was swamped and if I could hold on I said yes and then he quickly said he has about 15 people that are standing in front of him at the desk and immediately put me on hold, So I was on hold for 17 minutes waiting patiently and he answered and he asked what was going on and I explained again what was happening and then he started to check and the phone was cut off, I believe I was hung up on intentionally because I called back 3 times in a row and each time the line was answered and hung up right away. I waited a couple minutes and called back once again and the same man answers and said please hold and clicked over. So I am once again on hold for an extreme amount of time and waiting for an answer. Now I have hung up after 60 minutes on hold. I want to see if he even checked anyone for the past 60 minutes because this is totally unacceptable and I will be complaining about how your management treats Soldiers. How is it that I am on hold for an hour and no one answers the phone to attend to me, how is it that I have had to call repeatedly to get a simple email sent to me for a receipt. I need accountability for the rudeness and total disregard by your hotel staff. My review is never stay at this hotel if this is...

The quality of when I first stayed at this establishment when you first open till now has drastically changed. The only good thing I will say is your CSR agents were very polite and friendly! First when I got in my room there was trash on the floor by the bathroom, the tub in the room has a dirt ring around it and also the stopper for the tub was broke could not take a bath water would not stay. I ask for my tub to be clean housekeeping never came to clean it also I ask for the clock to be fixed in the room it was on the wrong time could not get it to change myself call for that they said they would send someone up never did. The next morning I asked again could the tub and bathroom be cleaned still the tub had a ring around it and I know it wasn't clean cause I didn't use the tub due to it not being cleaned when I return to my room the tub was still dirty, so I cleaned it myself with Lysol wipes that I carry in my travel bag and the ring is not permanent because it came off when I cleaned it. Then the noise level WOW just awful if it wasn't kids running on the floor they were knocking and running from the door. Also there was no one monitoring the breakfast bar you had kids putting there hands in the food and the person that was re-stocking the food just stood there and said nothing. And then on Sunday when I walked downstairs there were children sleep everywhere on the chairs , the little sofa by the breakfast room, the computer area and behind the computer area I don't I just felt like that was so inappropriate it made you think were they there all night or what because they had blankets not sure if something happen and they had to be there I don't know but the general feeling as folks came to eat they were not happy at all I saw one man grab his 2 kids and his wife and say they going out to eat!! There was so many things that happen I could go on about but this overall stay was HORRIBLE. I will not recommend this establishment to anyone only if its in a pinch. I have stayed at other establishments with Marriott an by far this has been the...
