Pet Retreat Plymouth — Local services in Plymouth

We've been taking our dog Kona here for several weeks now. Doggy Daycare: They are so flexible with pick up and drop off times, so I bring him to full day doggy daycare before I work. He gets to run around and play with other dogs and staff at the indoor dog park attached to the suites. He even gets a report card at the end of each day! Staff are very trained on animal behavior, and do such an amazing job correcting maladaptive behaviors. It is so easy to book online, and they even send out reminder texts for forgetful people like me. Get one of the daycare packages to save some extra $. Grooming: This is arguably one of the coolest features this facility has. (besides the indoor dog park) I have a husky who was shedding tufts of hair like an endless tissue box. I dropped him off at doggy daycare, and his groomer, (I think Dan or Daniel?) was able to groom him throughout the day while I was at work. After he was done, and Kona returned to daycare, he gave me a call and provided a breakdown of the services provided and Kona's behavioral responses to them. In the past, other groomers had never been able to dry him or trim his nails... Kona did all of it with Dan no problem! It also ended up being way cheaper than the other groomers I'd gone to in the past. Now he is so snooth and soft, and doesn't look like a molting bird. Overall: I cannot recommend Pet Retreat enough. I recommend taking your dog for a half day assessment to see if your pup(s) are a good fit for the environment! Or for $10 take them to Brew Park any day of the week to run and play in the indoor park, while you sip on...

Dan has now done our 13 year old Havapoo Checkers grooming for the past couple of years. Dan does absolutely fantastic work, Checkers always looks sharp as a tack when he comes home .More important Dan is very patient and kind with him something other groomer have not alway been .Checkers is a very old and VERY stubborn dog that has not done well with groomer since we foster failed and then rescued him 4 years ago. We have tried several groomers and groom shops before finding Dan at Vet Partners in Plymouth. We are VERY VERY satisfied customers and highly recommend this facility and...

I have always taken my almost two year old Shih Tzu to Kait. This time, she stated that there was a clipper injury to Nalu (has never happened before) because she moved a bit during the cutting of her chest area. Unfortunately, there were two (same area but both sides of her chest). I am a bit disappointed in this occurrence. I have always trusted a stress-free experience for her, and hope that that was still the case. Time will tell on whether I seek a different groomer or not as I like how she handles my dog's stress regarding the hair dryer. Just thought I would mention my concerns for feedback...
