I just went to the preview night for this restaurant and I'm very impressed with not only the beautiful modern space but also the execution of the food. I truly believe that the chef did an amazing job creating flavors that are authentic to traditional Indian Cuisine. And as a South Asian myself, authentic Indian is hard to come by when it comes to modern fusion restaurants. I literally felt like I was eating my mom's cooking in the form of pizza and fries. It's crazy!
Let's start with the first thing I ordered - the mango lassi. It wasn't as sweet as traditional mango lassi but I appreciate that it caters to a more health-conscious crowd. I would definitely taste the hints of rose and cardomom (I think) in the drink. Garnished with pomegranate, it was a modern take on lassi which ended up tasting amazing!
The wings are the next thing I tried. I believe I ordered the tandoori masala wings with curry sauce. And they are delicious. Spicy and flavorful - again, just like my mom's cooking. That's how you know it's legit. The meat was very tender. Loved it!
The next thing we tried was the Aloo Chaat Fries. And they literally stole the show. They tasted SO much like traditional Chana Chaat that they're named after - I couldn't believe it. And I love Chana Chaat. I think I may like Aloo Chaat Fries even more now! Spices and flavor were on point.
The next thing we got was the pizza - I tried several different types of pizza, but my fav was definitely the Bombay Butter Masala (butter chicken). It tasted just like the curry! Seriously, so good!
We ended the night trying the garlic naan bites which were perfectly fluffy and had lots of flavor. Love the dip that it came with too.
Unfortunately I was too stuffed to try the curry bowls. I'll have to go back for it when they officially open for their soft opening Aug 11!
We sat outside on the patio which is small but very cute with the lights hanging down. The interior is also spacious and modern. Loved that they had Indian music playing in the background and cultural references on the walls.
I don't drink alcohol, but they have self-serve beer and wine that they charge by the ounce. Pretty cool feature for those who do drink! Their soda options are also huge - they have one of those touch screen machines where you can choose any flavor of drink and it comes...
Read moreBombay Pizza Kitchen is a must-try if youâre in the area, and worth making a trip if youâre not. I wasnât expecting to be so impressed and delighted by my dining experience there, a restaurant thatâs only been open three days.
Youâll be greeted by a bright, open, lively, and aromatic environment that blurs the line between fast casual restaurant, trendy millennial eatery, and homey family restaurant. Decor is dominated by complimentary oranges and blues, stenciled mandala patterns, artwork, photos, and regally pillowed booths. Thereâs a lot that will catch your eye, including the menu display.
Though predominantly a pizzeria, BPK surprised me with the variety in their menu, which offers inventive appetizers, spicy wings, keto-friendly curry bowls, and flavorful salads. There is something for everyone, and those that are health-conscious will not be disappointed.
I highly recommend the gunpowder chicken wings, paneer salad, and chicken tikka pizza. All the items were exceptionally flavorful and well cooked, not to mention visually appealing. My only wish is for the wings to be crispier, though I enjoyed them as they were.
Operations remind me a bit of Naf Naf Grill in that the restaurant is modern and runs on a smart digital system. However, BPK offers much more than its fast casual counterpart by having wine and beer on tap, luxurious mango lassi at the counter, by-the-slice pizza, and a cozier ambience. If they had TVs playing soccer or music videos, this would be a fun place to hang out. Nevertheless, a great place to bring friends, a date, your family, or yourself.
From what I experienced, this is destined to be a very successful restaurant. I personally hope they continue to grow andđ¤đ˝open a location in Minneapolis. The food is delicious and successfully brings Indian cuisine to a broader audience.
In sum, BPK impressed me with its authentic Indian flavors, inventive and diverse menu items, exemplary customer service, and smart business operations. I hope to be back soon.

Read moreTLDR: Decent food with a lot of potential, but inexperienced, understaffed, and long wait times.
Restaurant seems to have been open for a few months, judging from the Now Open sign and an August 2020 license posted inside. We tried to place an online order for pickup and the web site reported a one hour wait, so we called and were told that it would not take nearly that long. Fine, so we placed the order and showed up in about 20-30 minutes. Gave my name and was told five more minutes. After five minutes, asked again and was told that they had not started making it yet. I explained that we had called earlier. They apologized, offered a free drink, and said they would bring the food to my car in ten minutes. Accepted free drink and waited in car. Came back in after ten minutes and waited another ten inside for the food. Ultimately got the food at the original one hour mark.
The pizzas were unique but not anything amazing. The small sized pizza and the kids sized pizza were unexpectedly the same size. The fries were soggy; they appear to have made them and topped them long before the pizzas were done. The drinks (mango lasse) were fine.
They had only two people working. One on register and boxing pizzas plus one making pizzas. They really needed a third person. I had time to observe many other customers and they all were either walk-ins who said that it was their first time or people picking up like me who were asked to "wait ten...
