I attempted to give this place another shot. I thought maybe someone had a bad day and that they deserved another chance because anyone can have a bad day.
The first time I was here (a few months ago) my sandwich took 25 minutes to get. Was not that busy and it appeared there were people standing around behind the counter not doing anything. I brought it up to the manager at the time, very nicely. He was apologetic and thanked me for bringing it to his attention.
Upon my return today, I placed a simple order for a large meatball sandwich. What I got was a medium meatball sandwich. When I asked if it was a large (because I had ordered a large) when placed on the counter, the guy copped attitude with me and said "well, you paid for a medium so that's what you got." It's really a shame...the food here is great. I work very close and this would be a go-to spot for me and my company if the staff was not so incredibly rude. This would have been so easy to fix...I just don't understand the thinking here. He could simply have said "I understand you ordered a large, I will make it right now, the difference in price is $XX." I would have been great with that. Instead I got attitude like I did something wrong. He actually offered to make another small sandwich then pointed out that I would be paying more for a medium and small than for a large alone. At that point I realized it was pointless to continue the conversation. I simply told him I would not be back. Read moreEdit again: my son and I went into firehouse subs today and used the free sub coupon that we were given because of the mistake earlier. They took extra care to make sure our order was just perfect, they suggested a sandwich for my other son which was absolutely amazing. The sandwiches were so tasty and fresh and the store was clean and tidy. The employees were helpful and knowledgeable. We got our hot food right away and we would hands-down recommend this restaurant without reservation. My son ordered a plain ham and cheese sandwich specifically without any extra toppings. We had a little bit of a hard time with the order because the girl taking the order was hard of hearing, and the masks make it challenging, but she repeated the order back and joked how easy it was because there were no toppings to put on. Read moreWanted to say thank you to the 2 guys at the firehouse subs in Plymouth for all that you both do. It was busy, a decent amount of customers waiting but you provided friendly, top-notch service to me and were patient with me when I tried to decide what I was going to get. I have only been here one other time but it has been years. Once a week, I now travel to my corporate office and was happy to get their food again. I remember the subs being really good. In chit-chatting with the associate I just mentioned how busy they were and that I just saw him and 1 other guy on the register. To my surprise he said..."Yup, it's just me and this guy, just us two all the time." I said what?!! There isn't any other employees? I was blown away that these two guys are it. There are no others employees, no other help, ever. And another customer, chimed in when overhearing that and stated how amazing those guys are and thanked them for always being upbeat, positive, and on top of the orders.
