The Highline Room - Plymouth — Local services in Plymouth

Hoped to avoid doing this but- beware of this place. I, and a friend, each had a drink one Thursday several weeks ago. Our drinks were $26 and I tipped 25%. Shortly after leaving I discovered they mixed my bill up with another party's bill despite there only being 3 parties in the bar, including mine, and 3 staffers to cover that 'crowd'. I took the receipt back up to the bar and the staff couldn't figure out how to fix it so took my name and number and said a manager would call. Needless to say I never got a call. But 4 days later I checked my card and nothing had been billed at all so I figured they comped the two drinks, as they should have for the screw up. But then a day later they charged me for the larger party's receipt after all and then 2 days after that they credited me an arbitrary amount that not only made no sense but was still well below what I am owed. Staff was rude and pretentious. My husband and I were basically ushered out of there for one reason and one reason only. We were having a private conversation about health and politics that they overheard. They gave us our bill half way through our drinks and without being asked if we would like anything else. When I asked if they were closing he (the owner? Tall blonde guy, medium length hair) said “no”. I then asked if there was a problem, his response was that they had a band coming…ok, and? No one else was asked to leave. The wife(?petite, thin woman, mid 40’s maybe, blonde hair) rudely shouted “have a good night” while storming past us. It’s a shame because the decor is beautiful, very nice atmosphere. But if you like deranged far-left nut jobs with overpriced unprofessional service, this is your new go-to....

This new tasting room took over the old location of Wiltsie’s Pharmacy in DTP, and it appears to be a big hit. Beyond their menu of great mixed cocktails, Highline offers 4 home distilled whiskeys, including Straight Whiskey, Double Rye, Bourbon, and American Whiskey which offers a unique blend and is 120 proof. We ordered two pours of the bourbon and were very impressed with the quality and taste. They also had a few snack offerings and live music for this Saturday night.
