Bob's Furniture is, hands down, the worst experience I’ve ever had with a retailer. We ordered a couch on October 28, 2024, expecting delivery on November 16—a reasonable timeline. But just two days before delivery, they texted to inform us of a “high demand” issue and rescheduled the delivery for November 30. Disappointed, but we tried to be patient, especially since my wife is pregnant and we currently have no couch.
Fast forward to today, November 27, and guess who texts me? Bob's Furniture. At first, I thought maybe this was an update saying they’d deliver sooner or at least confirm the November 30 date. Nope. They told me, due to “overseas issues” and needing to pass some vague “quality inspection,” the couch won’t be delivered until December 14, 2024. A MONTH AND A HALF after our initial purchase.
This means I paid for a couch I don’t have, while my pregnant wife and I sit in an empty living room. It feels like I paid for air. This has been a nightmare from start to (hopefully) finish. Their communication is horrendous, their promises are meaningless, and their excuses are endless.

So we rescheduled for another delivery for a new table, that one arrived snapped in half! Then I had to call them to tell them they needed to try a third time. This customer rep was very kind, and said he’d request I’d be the first delivery BECAUSE THIS IS NOW THREE DAYS I’VE HAD TO CLEAR MY ENTIRE SCHEDULE TO WAIT FOR THEM! And lo and behold I get the delivery window time and it’s smack dab in the middle of my one meeting I can’t cancel. I called the company and the customer rep could not have cared less, and basically told me accept the time they gave me or get it a different day. Which would be reasonable any other time, if it weren’t for the fact that because of their poor quality furniture I’ve already gave more than enough time waiting for this company. Read moreSalespeople were nice, and they have a good selection of furniture. Be aware that they will put something called “Goof proof” on your order without asking you or even telling you what it is. It’s basically a warranty scam, I wouldn’t trust going back somewhere that automatically adds optional warranties to your invoice. We went back in to ask for a refund of $41.19 and we paid in cash, they would not give it back to us in cash and said we will get an email from Bank of America next week. Not worth the argument but I felt like that was another lie because a big store like that most certainly has more than $50 in a cash drawer. Disappointing because we planned on buying other furniture there and have an entire new home to furnish. Now I feel like they were dishonest and makes me weary of purchasing through them.
