First let me share I prefer delivery or outside curbside pick up I would rather not deal w/ the foolish inside stores until Dec 24 pick up & Shipt perfect uneventful I choose target because I needed a carpet cleaner + household items toothpaste trash bags etc dogs home for holidays 8weeks-16 yrs old Arrive at check in young Target rep says ma’am that’s not a parking space I said I realize that i didn’t want to hit u I’m going to back up as soon as u r away from my vehicle
Another Target rep brings out my order 2 bags I gave her the check in number she is about to walk off I say excuse me where is the carpet cleaner I believe her name is Hannah She apologies let me go get it fast forward She ask me to drive up & come in to get a refund I asked if there is another carpet cleaner available My daughter looks on the app so does “Hannah” Once I park I have MS mobility is restricted I walk in follow her inside (whole time walkie-talkie conversation about my carpet cleaner) Refund granted gift card given then another target reps show up with another carpet cleaner hugh box in the basket purchase the new cleaner I believe close to$200
Hannah apologies & went back to work Security (male)standing in front of self checkout Yells as (I’m struggling to push the cart out of store) Excuse me Excuse me Ma’am I need to see your receipt….. Ma’am I need to see your receipt I didn’t realize he was talking to me I wasn’t close enough to the door for theft check He then walked toward me stopped in front of cart & stated loudly again ma’am I need to see your receipt While other customers walkout no theft check He took my receipt where did u come from ? I didn’t respond I was in shock He said Did u come from pickup? again still no response from me He read the receipt & said so u came from pick up I shock my head no as I believed pick up was referring to outside
Anyway I left very disappointed & disrespected Being home Covid careful …I try to do my part to support business w/ delivery services & curbside pick up I will not be shopping inside Target again With so much hate sickness in the world no need to go to stores for foolishness & racial profiling We use to be heavy Target shoppers Tar’jet’ fans however if my beautiful brown skin continues to be disrespected I’m going to Amazon everything except gas Target shame shame creating racial profiling...
Read morePick up/curbside ordering is not great here. It took OVER two hours for the two Celsius energy drinks I ordered to be ready. Usually, I’m not a Karen and I’m pretty patient, but it’s frustrating. I have a one year old that isn’t always the best behaved in stores because he’s one. So I thought that if I ordered these TWO drinks that they’d be ready within maybe 30 minutes tops. I don’t use pick up often. Like once in a blue moon but I didn’t wanna go in the store and I really love the convenience of being able to pull up in my car and grabbing my stuff and leaving without ever having to go inside, but what’s the point if it’s going to take over 2 hours for two drinks? I might as well have just went in real fast and just dealt with my toddler being whiny. Hindsight would’ve been easier, if I would’ve known it’d take that long, I would’ve never ordered. Now, I understand that stores get busy and maybe there were other orders ahead of mine, but I just find it a tad bit ridiculous that they couldn’t get two drinks out of the any faster than before 2 hours. When it hit two hours, I called the store and asked if they knew when my order would be ready because it had been 2 hours and the lady got smart with me and was no help at all. She didn’t even check it for me. On the bright side, the girl who handed me my drinks at the pick up was extremely nice and made my experience after waiting for two hours a bit better. I hope they can improve over time because I won’t be ordered pick up from there for a while. If it takes that long for only two items I can only imagine how long it’d take for multiple. God bless your hearts waiting until you’re a fossil to...
Read moreThis target in Newport News (zip 23602) has some very racist and questionable employee practices that lead me to believe that they racially profile. On 5 November 2016, I purchased 2 boxes of huggies pampers and was asked to show my receipt as I was exiting the store. The tone of the young man seemed less than pleasant and bordering on the edge of suspicion. After displaying my receipt I took several steps forward and before walking completely out of the store, I witnessed seven entire families and two individuals walking out, family by family and cart by cart. I waited for them to exit the store, as I was about half-way out myself, before I walked towards this gentleman once more. I asked why was I the only person asked to show my receipt before leaving and the expression on his face was though he was caught. As he stuttered and began to mumble, he hesitantly said your items weren’t bagged. I told him that seemed coincidental. As I walked towards customer service, he immediately walked away and returned a couple of minutes later. After requesting to speak with the manager on duty, I watched three more individuals walk out, two of which had pampers that were not bagged and they weren’t even asked to show any receipt. The difference between me and these customers was that I am an African American male and every other customer that I observed for approximately ten minutes were all white. The employee’s name was Raheem and not only did he seem dishonest and racist be he was also African American as well. I will never step foot in that Target as long as I am able-bodied and...
