Dear Ashley Furniture, You guys suck! Please do not buy from this company!! This company was going to bring our items on Friday the 15th. You didn't do your best to come and give us our items on that Friday and when we called you gave us the excuse that someone took off the sticker from your truck, And then called me and asked me if I had a truck and I said NO and then you called my husband and asked him the same thing! THE SAME THING as that was going to change from when I said no to my husband saying yes well news flash we only have one car! Well, you could not bring us our items on that Friday and then someone from your company called me and told me that you guys would bring it on Saturday and I greatly thanked you and then the person said they would call me and gave me a 2-hour window. Well, you did not, and then my husband called and then that one said no, we meant Sunday and were like, okay, that will be fine. Can you guess where this is going right!?!? Well, Sunday comes and we don't get a call. And because they did not get our items to us they waived the $95.00 fee for delivery! And we were like heck yeah but where are our items and when are they coming? I'm very upset right now and have no idea how to put this all in words so I am doing my best to. So Sunday comes and they said they will be here between 5 and 7 pm. I called them at 5:20 pm so we knew that was a lie. (Mind you we have nothing to sit on because we got rid of our items on that Thursday before that Friday so we would not have to deal with 2 sets of items.) So 7 pm rolls around and still not a call then 8 pm comes around and we are getting upset NO ONE called us at all. The office closes at 7:30 pm. So we could not get any answers. So my husband then calls again today and he talks to the same lady that we have been talking to the whole time about our items! She said it sounded like you need to talk to a manager and she acted like she was talking to a manager then she came back and my husband started talking and said that we will go rent a truck and you guys will have to pay for mileage- gas- and for us to move our items to our house and then taking the truck back and paying for the gas for our car because we have to go back and get our car. And our labor is costly! They dismissed that and said that we would have our items on Friday and that they were having personnel problems. My husband is on active duty and Military wives talk about EVERYTHING! And you better believe that I'm already talking about how bad your company is!! Then the lady came back after that and said that the manager said that they would also give us $300.00 off more because it was taking so long to get our items. The manager even said that he would email my husband saying and giving his word that OUR ITEMS will be here on FRIDAY!! As of right now, I have no faith that we will get our items. My husband still hasn't received an email yet and I don't think that a $395.00 discount is not worth all the trouble that I have gone through. So I better get my stuff or I am finding somewhere else to take my business and you won’t have many customers when I get...
Read moreSeriously disappointed. My mother-in-law broke her recliner a few days ago and we have been shopping around for a replacement. We found the McGann Walnut rocker recliner at the Ashley Outlet marked 50% off for the Labor Day sale. The chair is marked at $850 so would sell for $425.
We brought to their attention that the same chair from Big Lots is $300... and also that pricing trends, which are public, show that the chair usually sells for $400-$500, meaning the "sale" is just an artificial 200% markup so they can mark it back down to regular price. The ONLY factor remaining was the delivery, since Ashley will actually bring the item into your home and set it up for you. This would be nice since my MIL has dementia and lives with us in an upstairs bedroom. The bedroom is my former office, so I've had to move furniture around on my own in the past to get it situated and am capable of doing so again, but it would be nice to have the help , surely.
The first person we talked to said they price match, but... only with their own online store? That doesn't sound like price matching.
We asked for SOME leeway on the price (not on the delivery cost, JUST the price of the chair - you know since it's not REALLY on sale), and would have gladly accepted maybe a 8-10% off and walked out the door happy, but were instead met with dumbfounded stares and an offer for some kind of "transfer" for $25 for us to come pick it up in-store (which basically equated to us paying $25 more for no reason).
We left and went to Value City. The salesman there immediately knocked off $90 from the chair we were looking at without us even asking and we'll be picking it up on Tuesday. Wife and I concur we will not be returning to...
Read moreMy mom had something very specific she wanted. We found it online and went to Ashley. We walked through the door and Mr. Timothy Green was there to greet us. We showed him what we wanted and he explained he didn’t have that but something similar. It was located in Ashley Outlet. Instead of telling us to go to the other store, Mr. Green walked out the front doors and down to the other store and took us to the couch. The couch was perfect and even better than what we found online. The right color and all!!! As most people know, it’s hard to sometimes get help at store and I’m sure especially if you have to walk outside and to another store section. Mr. Green went above and beyond. So helpful and very knowledgeable. He listens to exactly what you want and what is important to you. He also explains everything to you to make sure nothing is misunderstood. And had everything is written so nothing was by word of mouth. Highly recommend going to Ashley furniture and asking for Timothy Green to help you...
