I want to preface this review by saying that we have bought from Ashley many times because we love their furniture. Essentially our entire living room and dining room is Ashley furniture so when we were looking for a new bed frame, this was the first place we looked. We found something we liked and had no issues while we were actually at the store. However, everything after buying this bed frame (delivery, working with their customer service) has been an absolute nightmare. We bought the bed frame at the end of September 2024. Our delivery of the bed frame was cancelled the DAY BEFORE, twice. First time they told us they did not have the whole bed frame and the second time was because the head board was found to be damaged. Finally at the end of November, on our 3rd scheduled delivery, our bed frame was delivered. However, the two feet at the end of the lateral rails were missing. The men who put the bedframe together placed something temporarily underneath to keep the bedframe level. We were assured they would order the missing parts for us. Well two weeks later when I've heard NOTHING, I call the customer service and they have no idea what I'm talking about. They didn't even have documentation that our order wasn't completely fulfilled. So I fill out an online ticket and am told they will deliver the parts. Over 2 weeks later we finally "get the parts" but they are NOT the right parts at all. They do not fit the bedframe we have. We call back and are told new parts are being ordered that will "hopefully be right." Well its been almost weeks and still no parts. I called on monday 1/20/25 and was told someone would get back to me next day. Well here I am sitting on hold AGAIN waiting to speak with customer service about where the heck the parts are. So essentially its been 4 months and we still don't have a bedframe. I am not even confident that this issue will get resolved at this point. The other frustrating thing with this whole experience is there's never any documentation of ANYTHING. Never an email to notify you that parts are on the way so you can track it or confirmation that a phone call took place. They essentially make it very hard to document that communication is occurring and I assume this is...
Read moreI wanted to inform the owner of the Ashley franchise of consistent fraudulent activities that one of their distributors in my area does on the regular. There is a store in Onley Virginia called Meyers and Tabakin. Owned by Gary Tabakin. They exclusively sell Ashley brand products they purchase directly from one of the Ashley stores. I believe it is your store. Or at least one or two of the 3 stores in the surrounding area near Onley Va. I worked there recently. And I have knowledge of the warehouse operations. As I was the warehouse assistant. I was usually always present in the warehouse. And I was always there for delivery’s.. they place orders for your furniture on a weekly basis. And when they get your furniture they typically open it immediately. And inspect the furniture. And if they see even the smallest bit of damage on the furniture. Like a damaged corner. Or a small slit in the fabric or a tiny crack in the framing. Then they would always do the same thing. They have a sledgehammer they keep hidden in the warehouse. And they turn the furniture upside down. And they bash a section of the frame in with the sledgehammer and cause enough damage to the product to ensure a 100% reimbursement for the product. And then they put the item on the floor to be sold in that condition at full price. And advertise that it came straight from the Ashley store as a Ashley product. So that if someone would see the damage they caused after purchase and delivery. They could blame the Ashley Franchise to avoid legal liability. I strongly recommend you not accept claims from the Meyers and Tabakin warehouse in Onley Va anymore and stop full reimbursement of any product damage with them. Because they did it a lot when I was there. And it is 100% fraudulent claims. The furniture that has arrived there has never been damaged to the point of not being able to pull a profit. And they are going the extra mile to scam you. To get the most profit they can. At every opportunity. With fraudulent...
Read moreIf you are a busy person Ashley is not the store for you. I've been trying to pick up my furniture for 2 weeks and haven't been able to organize a time in the tiny window they give you to pick it up. We're moving out of town and it's a whole thing. When I bought it I thought I could pick up any time before 4. NOPE! You can only pick up your furniture on Monday or Tuesday by 4 pm at this store and not even on the weekend. I found out by calling around that they have a few workers trying to service ALL of the Grand Furniture stores and all of the Ashley Furniture Stores for loading and unloading furniture. So as much as that furniture costs, they cheap out on delivery people??? I thought, well ok I'll return the furniture and make it easier on us. Nope, 20% restocking fee if you don't return within 24 hours. So yep, any problem you better know about it before it arrives. Then I say "Ok, can you deliver it to an address in Hampton?" NOPE, it's got to go back to the VA Beach warehouse and start over if I do that. So then you ask why is that? The answer........policy. We're taking off work to pick up the hostage on...
