Read moreI ran into this store today because it was diagonally across the street from my motel room and I needed to find the rest of my sister's birthday present. I don't know what made me think the store would have that, but they did. In fact I don't care what you think you need they probably have it. That's not a joke. They have everything, they have things you didn't even know you needed. I know this because I walked out with like at least three things that I had no predetermination of buying but I couldn't help myself. So they have all the normal stuff like tools and clothes and garden supplies and I don't know...other stuff. But they also have the best surprises. I ended up getting my sister a wind chime and a candle and some super cute little colorful dishes and the sponges that had fruit pictures on them cuz I mean why not, and some other things that I'm not recalling now but I've already packed them so I'm not going to go look. The point is you should go to this store even if you don't need to because it's fun and they have everything (including great pnw souvenirs). Oh also the employees are really nice. At least the lady at the register that I had and the lady at the register next to her, they were both really nice.
Although I can't shop here on the regular because it would be a 4 hour drive for me, I will go to the store if I am anywhere in the Port Angeles area at any time even if I don't think I need anything because inevitably I'll leave there happy...
Read moreWent there Father's Day weekend and found my parents "smoking deals" on sandals. My dad wanted to get me a pair and I told him I didn't need any but he insisted. Mine, beat the deals I had found for them. Even the cashier agreed...she said; her deal is on FIRE! 😀
Went to Swain’s in August 2025 with my husband and mom—-she has lived in P.A. for 20+ years. She needed socks and decided to get Step in Scetcher’s. Anywho, I picked out a pair of Reef scandals, as well as a Ceramic Blue Birdbath. We were unable to purchase it that night as Josh was unable to re-open the Warehouse so he could locate cardboard to protect it as we traveled back home to the Newcastle area. We returned the next morning as was suggested by Josh--an employee of Swain’s— every time I needed to speak with him he was already busy with another customer. They were slammed! But what I noticed? They had plenty of employees on deck yet there was still plenty standing around talking to each other. When we went to the check out? We were treated extremely rude! Especially, Bonnie! I have way more details yet I don’t want to share….all I’ll say is; NO more!...
