ALDI — Local services in Portage

Short lines this morning! (10:30) It was raining so people were happy to just give you their cart instead of walk it back in the rain. They have specials as soon as you walk in the door. Whether it's a sale on nuts or a grill, it is displayed in a fun and festive way. The first item I found was Parmesan Crisps for $2.49. They are like chips but made out of baked cheese. There are 0 (yes zero) carbs! Perfect for someone who wants to go KETO! They had 2 flavors: Jalepeno and original. If you aren't trying any specific diet, the bread selections are as a bakery. Croissants, biscotti, Hawaiian breads, flat bread, they even have NAAN bread. The produce now has organics. The cheeses are amazing. I normally buy regular string cheese, but they had Gouda string cheese! Asiago, pepper Jack, habenero Jack, bleu, muenster.... So many options. They even had their version of crcker barrel cheese chunks! The salad dressings are interesting too! Roasted red pepper vinaigrette, and a version of live grden. Cashier had an attitude about doing their job. I was here yesterday picking up a large doordash order. I walk up to the register and the cashier looks at me and WALKS OFF while his/her light was on and I was unloading my FULL cart. I get to the end of the cart and ask him/her if anyone is working the register. They said yeah after they finish mopping! So I wait another 5-10 minutes for him/her to mop. Then they’re slamming things into the cart aggressively. I go where DoorDash sends me to get the orders. I don’t check the hours of operation because I assume if the order went through you’re open. Looking now I see you closed at 8pm and this picture was taken at 8pm exactly. Off your in a rush to get off you should be concentrating on getting the customers out of the store. Normally love this place the cashier thats usually there is so nice. Never seen her without a smile! They had a new cashier today and she was so rude she had very short hair just to describe her a little well i couldnt find a quarter so i just carried everything(no one's fault but mine) i say that to say when i got to the checkout she had multiple carts to use well she put my things in a cart she seen i was struggling I figured she wouldnt mind if i took the cart. She snatched the cart and said it was hers and didnt offer to let me use it or nothing. Im pregnant and had a toddler with me. I dont expect anyone to help me. But she was very rude and this is unlike any experience that i have had with aldi!
