Unfortunately I have a negative review for the Southland Mall store, but if it was the Crossroads store I would give them 5 stars!! The customer service in these 2 stores is like night and day!! I was shopping for gifts and cards at Southland mall during graduation week and the older woman waiting on me was very cold and unhelpful!! When I got my coupons out to use them she said I would not be able to use the discounts on a Hallmark item-----(hmmmmmm, wait!! This is a HALLMARK store!!!) I didn't read the fine print on the coupon at that point but later discovered this restriction she put on my purchase was not listed on my coupon!! I spent $65 and wasn't able to use my coupon on my most expensive item, therefore didn't save nearly what I could have. I am a Gold Crown Hallmark shopper yet EVERY time I walk into Southland Mall's shop I get treated as if they don't want me there!! Never have been treated like this in a store!! Yet on the other hand, Crossroads Mall has VERY kind and helpful salespeople. Imagine my disappointment when I found out the Crossroads store is shutting down!?! I was told this by a kind saleswoman at Crossroads that HONORED a coupon from the same booklet on a Hallmark item. Two other middle aged women overheard me and stated they get the same treatment at the Southland store!! Hmmmmmmm..... Read moreI didn’t realize that the store closed at 6pm. I was the only car in the lot at 5:54pm. I jumped out of my car and ran up to the door since all I needed was to grab a specific ornament as a gift for my sister. To my surprise, the employee beat me to the door and locked it! She looked right at me and LOCKED THE DOOR! I could see the clock on the wall next to the register said 5:56. I worked in retail as a manager for a number of years, and I know how hated a customer is for coming in to “browse” at 5 minutes to close. But I would NEVER have blatantly locked a customer out before closing time! Maybe a stern “we close in 5 min, what can I help you find?” But never a lockout. Ya’ll don’t seem too concerned about keeping your business open through the pandemic... keep treating customers this way and you won’t have to worry about opening your business at all! P.S. I stayed in the parking lot until they left, at 5:59. I’m not sure if these are corporate owned but if so, I’m betting they will be interested to know their employees are locking customers out and...
Read moreI love the assortment of cards to choose from, and this is always my go to for cute gifts. At checkout my friend and I had a very friendly clerk. She was so nice. Next to us was an elderly lady and that clerk was being so mean. She said, " do it again jean" in a mean tone, and kept sighing loudly like it was so much trouble. Not good business.
