Long review ahead, but Betsy and her team are worth every word!

I cannot recommend Betsy and her team more highly. My fiancé and I first visited Portland before moving here, and wandered into a neighborhood jewelry shop called Betsy & Iya. He spotted a necklace that immediately resonated with him, and it became our very first keepsake from our soon-to-be home in Portland. Fast forward to when we were ready to get engaged: we wanted something deeply personal, and while I had a clear vision in mind, I couldn’t find it anywhere. That led us to a consultation with Betsy at her fine jewelry shop, Fiina - and the rest is history.

From that first appointment through the delivery of my ring, Betsy and her team were incredible. She shared a love story similar to ours, which made our connection feel serendipitous, and she absolutely nailed the design right from the start: a fusion of one of her existing pieces and an inspiration ring I’d saved years ago. She even provided resin versions for me to wear around, ensuring the shape and setting worked for my very hands-on lifestyle.

After I received my ring (which truly could not be more perfect), I had a few questions about care and maintenance. Betsy and her team were immediately attentive; reaching out, offering thoughtful recommendations, checking in with me, and even researching multiple solutions so I could feel completely supported. I was impressed not only by the level of expertise but by the genuine care they showed at every step.

I had been waiting to write this review until our formal engagement photos arrived, because I wanted to do the ring justice with images that truly captured its beauty. Everyone who sees it comments on how timeless and unique it feels, with just the right touch of heirloom quality that we both love.

My partner and I worked with Betsy to design custom wedding bands, and we couldn't have asked for a more fun, seamless, and meaningful experience! Our initial consultation with Betsy was really joyful, and she asked all kinds of thoughtful questions about our relationship, our story, and our preferences. Her initial draft designs (3 of each of us) were brilliant, each distinctive but aligned with our tastes. It was hard to pick one! Once we did, we were able to consult further around stone preferences, etc. Throughout the process, we found Betsy and Barrie really warm and easy to communicate with. We received our final rings this past week and were completely blown away! They are so, so beautiful and compliment each other perfectly. 10/10 Experience with a custom build ring here! Kelly helped my fiance pick out a "placeholder" ring to propose with and was incredibly helpful, not pushy and kind. After we got engaged, we started a custom process with another jeweler that turned out to be a disaster. We came crawling back to Fiina and Kelly jumped right in to save the day. Kelly, Barrie and Betsy sat down with me to understand what I was looking for. They really listened, asked great questions and got to the root of my vision. They then took what had taken 7 months at the other jeweler and knocked it out of the park in less than 2 months. Great communication and care along the way. I am completely in love with my ring and I know it's well-built and I have a local team ready to help if I need anything at all.
