This place is amazing I could not recommend more! Right off the bat the space is so welcoming and cute and has everything you could ever want or need (snacks, candy, tampons, hair ties, coloring books, DVDs, Tiger Beat magazines, JUICE BOXES, you name it). Kristen did an absolutely incredible job on my tattoo and I am beyond happy both with the experience and how it turned out. I have really sensitive skin and have had some difficulty in the past, and Kristen took the time to really listen to me, work with me, and was even willing to adjust her flash to make sure it would heal well. I got a custom tattoo and a small flash piece from Kristen last week and truly had the most incredible experience. Kristen's communication from the minute I submitted the request for a tattoo all the way through the tattoo itself was so helpful and she is so quick to respond. Kristen made me feel so comfortable and excited through the entire process. The studio itself is the best vibe and had so many retro pieces that really made it feel one of a kind, clean, and homey. I absolutely loved working with Kristen, she worked with me to figure out placing and we were both so excited when we found the perfect spot. Went to Inside Recess a few weeks ago to see Kristen Best (@kb.kb) for a custom small tattoo. My friend was visiting from out of town, so after finding Kristen's incredible flash work, we reached out to her about a month prior to see if she was available for a specific date. Kristen is so accommodating; she was able to fit both of us in for custom work, communicating the whole time leading up to the appointment to share design ideas. The tattoos are some of the best fine line work I've ever seen, and has healed beautifully.
