The parking at the visitor center is very limited with perhaps 5 to 7 spots, but the y are RV length spots which we were happy to see as we have a small 25' class C. The visitor center helper was great. He told us where we could park our RV for free. It was opposite side of city but the city is easy to drive an RV through, nicely laid out roads and wide enough. He also showed us a nice walking or biking trail to get us around the outter edge of the city. He also gave us a map and circled some places to see on the map in the art district. The city had a lot of homeless people laying around the streets which was very sad to see. The port wasn't very pretty to see, it looked kind of dirty and just didn't have nice views. Many views included giant oil/water tanks, sewer treatment plant, industrial/shipping yards. However, there are two light houses that were very pretty to see and a ship sculpture that was quite interesting to read about. The building architecture is beautiful and various places throughout the city you can find old pictures of the buildings from back in time. The Portland Museum of Art is great with a little Coffe & Wine Cafe and kids under...

This building is very nice and spacious. and they have plenty of guides, pamphlets, and brochures. I was greeted by a very pleasant lady and she answered all my questions and provided information according to my tourism desires. They also have a map of area that makes it very helpful.

There is indoor and outdoor seating and it’s on the pier. There is a city parking lot near and it’s $15 a day. I was informed that this was the best place to park. The bathrooms are very clean.

I highly recommend going to visitor center once you enter city to gather information to make the best...

If you visit Portland from a cruise ship, you'll likely go through this Welcome Center. It provides a great view of the ship at dock, with a nearby bench allowing a perfect commemorative photo opportunity to get its full length.

The Welcome Center features multiple free brochure guides you can use to navigate Portland by foot or tour bus. There are places to sit if you need to rest, as well as a bathroom available for use. Be sure to get a photo with Standing Bear, a tall wooden statue designed by Bernard "Blackie"...
