Carne asada salad bowl with pinto beans and queso! I did a taco and tequila pub crawl and this place was one of the featured tacos, and I thought it was absolutely delicious! So I had to come back and try the rest of the menu. They have a great selection of salsas and hot sauces of varying heat levels. I like it HOTTT 🔥🌶 so I got the chipotle which is the hottest and it didn't disappoint! The spiced chocolate cookies are also yummy, and so are the margaritas. Restaurant is setup very similarly to the popular chipotle chain , but I would dare to say they're a cut above. Everything is fresh and homemade. I will definitely be returning! All the employees are very friendly and cheerful, and check in to make sure you're enjoying your food. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. (Pictured is a salad bowl with pinto beans, queso, carne asada, corn salsa and chipotle salsa, and southwest ranch.)

I had a great experience at Mesa Grande. Firstly, I think it’s important to note how kind the staff members were. I like how they keep a cleaning station in the front too where you can see the employees washing their hands. It was super clean inside and the food was surprisingly way better than I thought. I expected maybe a chipotle or moes level of food but got something way better and more enjoyable than that. This time I got a burrito bowl, which was plenty for me at the time. I also got chips which I highly recommend as well with the home made queso. Next time I’d love to try the tacos. It was really good so I’m sure I’ll be back again next time in the area. Thanks again to the amazing staff! It makes coming to places like this so much more worth it when the people behind the counter are so welcoming 😊

Barbacoa itself is fine. The chipotle sauce is supposedly their spiciest but it has way more sugar than heat. It was disgustingly sweet. The biggest issue though is that it takes the poor line workers about 5 minutes per person just to scoop the protein onto the tortilla because they spend that long trying to strain the obscene amount of liquid out of each scoop. I wish I was kidding. This was perhaps the most bizarre logistical operation I've ever witnessed. Would not recommend simply because management must be brain dead. But avoid the super sweet chipotle salsa if you do go.

The staff are nice but they definitely have too few people that know what’s going on. I felt bad because the poor guy taking my order barely knew what was going on and was taking ingredients from the wrong bowls. You guys gotta train these people at least. Makes me question what they’re getting paid there.

If you’re going to be a carbon copy of Chipotle but more expensive you need to offer additional value which just isn’t there. The local competition is too high for your business to not stand out. Start pricing these meals in line with how you do in Auburn NY and it would at least provide better value. This place will not last unless it offers a better experience, taste, etc. than Chipotle which it unfortunately does not.

Since Google gives the “atmosphere” option I’ll also throw in that this place makes it worse by how uninspired the decor and general look of this place is. It looks like a...
