This is a spot worth checking out for both locals and tourists! Bite Into Maine has three locations including this one, in addition to a trailer at Allagash Brewing and one at Fort Williams. This was my first visit to this particular location and enjoyed it!
Located in a great location with lots to do within walking distance but be sure to come here for their lobster rolls or what I enjoyed the Lobster BLT. It comes on a delicious grilled buttered ciabatta roll with delicious lobster atop a classic BLT. Bacon being the perfect level of crisp! On the side you will get a serving of chips. Staff were friendly and after ordering you get a beeper that will let you know when it’s ready. They got plenty of indoor and outdoor seating if the weather is nicer.
Also to note for those who cannot handle gluten this is a great spot to check out. And even better for those you can go enjoy gluten free beers at Orange Bike Brewing and checking out the special Bite Into Menu gluten free menu located all over the brewery to enjoy a beer and bite without...
Read moreI tried 7 lobster places while in Maine and Bite Into Maine is the winner! I tried a Connecticut style lobster roll on the first day of the trip at Fort William and it was amazing. Fresh, tender, no shells and hot butter straight out of the kettle! Then I had at least 5 other lobster rolls, all of which were good. On the last day, we stopped by the Diamond St location and was their very first customer- they knew we were on our way to the airport so they were very quick and so friendly and helpful. I wondered if it would be as good as the first day having tried so many. It was actually better! Really looking at the lobster roll I realized it’s because they use claw and tail not a lot of stringy scraps of lobster. The bun is fresh, toasted and buttered! I again got the Connecticut - Which is cold lobster with hot butter poured over it. This is the freshest lobster I had throughout Maine, Nova Scotia and...
Read moreLooking for a "fast" lobster roll experience but one that's phenomenally good? Look no further. This place is great! Several different lobster roll options along with some classic clam chowder. Very modern facility that appears it was revamped from an older building (which is awesome). Clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only reminder (being clear....this is not a grip) that I'll pass to those from cheaper cost of living areas is that lobster is not cheap. For our family of 4, we spent ~$185 with tip. So while the facility appears like it would be less expensive than a more traditional restaurant, you'll still pay for the high quality you are getting here. But as stated, if you want a quick turn of ordering, getting your wonderful seafood fix, and dining in a clean and modern building that has great staff, then this is the place...
