I have 3 words, simple and short for someone who doesn't have time to read full review: DON'T WASTE MONEY. If I can, I would give a ZERO rating.
I have both my kids (3 and 5 years) enrolled for 4 classes a week (2 one hour sessions). Out of an hour session my both kids together hardly get 15 minutes of instructor's time. The course is not organized. The pool is a chaos. The kids are swimming all over the pool without any lanes across the pool, sideways, all kinds of directions. The instructor does not correct anything what my kids does. There is no life guard. No manager to even provide feedback or see how the instructors are doing. When I tried to provide feedback to the front desk, they ask me to go talk to the instructor. It should be their job to check if my feedback is true and then take actions accordingly which tells me they don't care about making the place any better. There is not a single time I saw instructor correcting their posture, trying to tell them what they are doing wrong. We were told the instructor was new but it is floaties job to train her. There is no process or training for the instructors, I believe.. There is a absolutely no value for the money or time, I spend. There is no Communication on what is being taught, what we can expect and what is the progress. My kids had been to swimming classes in Arizona for 2 months and learned front float, back float, decent kicks rollover and rollback. My elder one can actually swim across the pool by rolling over, breath, rollback, kick. We wanted to continue with next level and the instructor doesn't care. If you want your kid to learn to swim properly, this is not the place. No process, not at all organized. It would take years for kids to be even water safe going here. I have cancelled the sessions and just finishing up for what I have paid upfront. SUCH A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
My elder one says that he doesn't like here as they don't teach him anything new or even teach him how to do it. He says it is like we play in the pool and he likes our pool better. So, what's the point in paying...
Read moreI’m writing this review with deep disappointment regarding our experience with Floaties Swim School. We were referred by a social worker from the San Diego Regional Center to enroll our 3-year-old child, who has autism, in swimming classes. Unfortunately, our experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disheartening.
From the very beginning, we’ve had trouble with communication. Kathleen, the manager, has consistently given us the runaround. She never answers our calls or responds to our emails, and every time we inquire about our situation, the reception staff tells us she’s either on vacation, gone for the day, or gives some other excuse. It’s become increasingly clear that we’re being ignored, and we can’t understand why.
It’s important to note that payment isn’t the issue, as the San Diego Regional Center covers the cost of the classes due to my child’s autism diagnosis. Despite this, we feel as though we’re being treated unfairly, possibly even discriminated against.
As parents, we only want what’s best for our child, and it’s disheartening to feel like we’re being disregarded when we’re simply trying to access a service that’s crucial for our child’s safety and development. We hope that this review prompts some introspection at Floaties Swim School and leads to better treatment of families like ours...
Read moreThis place had great reviews from friends, but unforunately our experience if different.
My daughter had 3 swim instructors in 3 weeks and is still "getting comfortable" with the water 5 lessons and over $100 later. She doesnt have any problem putting her head under water anywhere else (the bay, bath, our pool) except at Floaties (where she suddenly gets very upset because one of her instructors put her under several times with no warning).
The responses to one star comments say that they "keep detailed notes". None of the 3 instructors knew that she was joing their class or what her name was until I told them on the day.
The ladies at the front desk talk between themselves to the point that they havent responded to my daughter talking to them.
The staff barge through doors (separating me and my daughter, which is scary at a swimming pool).
I gave 2 stars because her final teacher (Mr...
