I don't usually do these, but I am upset by their return policy! I shop at Kohl's ALL the time! You can ask anyone who knows me. I ordered over $200 in clothes from their website bc I just started a new job and need more professional clothing that fits my current body. It is difficult for a curvy girl to find pants that fit. The ones I ordered online did not fit, so I went to my Prattville Kohl's store today in hopes there would be something there that would work. My mom and I spent almost 2 hours there shopping and trying on clothing. I tried on about a 20 pairs of pants. I was so excited bc I found 5 pair that actually fit me in all the right ways. I also found a bonus little knit dress that was long enough to wear without leggings. I thought I had a win all around!!!
I go to the register with my items to return and my items to purchase. To my surprise, they would not exchange the items I brought back for the items I wanted to purchase, unless they were the exact same items (which did not fit my body in any size). I asked for someone else who may be able to do an exchange type transaction. They said they only do even exchanges where it is the exact same item but in a different size. I tried explaining what I was asking for and they would not do it. The only thing they would do is a FULL refund to my debit card and then I would have to make an entirely new purchase for the items I wanted. No other scenario was permitted. I even asked for a store credit toward my new purchase. They said no they can't do that. I told them that I didn't want money back, I wanted to buy more clothes that fit. Am I crazy? When did stores start preferring returns over making sales?? I told them never mind I wouldn't buy anything because my $100ish dollars would be tied up for 3 days before it got back to my debit card and I couldn't make a new purchase without that money. Make it make sense 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
I will change this review if Kohl's actually does...
Read moreRacist, lazy, and unfair treatment to tell a few. This is the third time I've gone in there. Three strikes they are out. The greeter looked straight at me and the children and didn't say a word but greeted the people who came in a couple seconds later. My children and I were looking at the kid's clearance sock and hosiery area. It was a mess. I picked up a pair of tights that had a clearance tag on them. They were wrapped and taped. They were in my daughter's size. I went to the clearance area for boys. I picked up a boy's tie with candy canes, which also had a clearance tag on it. After ringing up over $400 of items, I asked her to check the price on the leggings amd the tie. After 17 minutes, three additional employees came and I was told they can't find the price. I said the tag is the price. The cashier said she can't ring it up because the computer system does not recognize the item number. Use the Tag number she said there was no inside number so she couldn't type it in.I had a coupon from the mailer for $10 off for women accessory purchase she said it wasn't valid because the purse and socks do not count. I read it out loud to her. She said no. I told her get the manager sge said she was the manager. After finishing she was ringung the lady behind me. She bought socks. I heard her say your total is 23.45 do you have your disvount coupon for accessories. Montgomery Kohls they get the job done. No tag they type in the number. Put in clearance by mistake they show you, item doesn't match they tell you. Only one cashier us involved. Close the KOHL'S in Prattville This is bad for Kohl's reputation. I am nice but others are not. Do not go to stores who hire racists or...
Read moreNice enough employees, the little girl's clothing was a mess with limited sizes. The lady who checked us out was nice but annoying. She asked my husband if he wanted to apply for a Kohl's Card. Just my husband, not me. Maybe old-fashioned? He looked at me and back at her and said no, and she proceeded to tell him every few items how much he would save if he did apply. She must have asked us, no him, 5 times and he declined each time. After everything was calculated, she said your total is $ and you could have saved $ if you would have applied for a Kohl's Card, but you saved $ much instead. She was really loud and obnoxious as well. My husband asked if she was going to keep rubbing it in, which she found funny.
Listen, once is enough. If someone says no, that's it. Some people care about their credit and would rather save thousands of dollars in the long run by not running a frivolous credit check instead of a few dollars right now. WE did not need a Kohl's. WE don't shop at Kohl's often enough to need one, so WE said no. She was so loud when asking too and it was embarrassing to have to keep...
