My first visit at this Prattville location (January 07) was certainly not a good one in its entirety. Presented with the opportunity to give them a second chance (January 15), I left with absolutely no regrets.
The food was extremely spectacular this evening and I got to learn more of the culture behind the staff's environment. A notable employee I wanted to point out was a young female waitress who we passed by while being seated. We came when it wasn't busy luckily. The waitress and I had a sweet girl to girl and I was hoping to catch her again to give her a hug. Her sweet and genuine compliment made my entire month better ♡ She's a wonderful person and I wished I let her know that!
The female waitress we had today was extremely knowledgeable of everything on the menu and it was impressive and I'm thankful for that!
Our first time there I had a miserable time because of how down right rude a different female staff member was towards me and ridiculously kind she was being towards my man. As well as pitiful food that evening. My beloved pointed all of that out before I could. It was bad and blatantly obvious. The rest of the staff were great though. I was excited all day to go there and came through the door happy as a lamb then left trying my best to shake that experience off.
☆ This time, I finally enjoyed and left with the amazingly flavorful experience I hoped for on the first visit. They had no idea what we would order so there was no way to really prepare for the outstanding food we more than enjoyed this time. The sauce on the Farmers Market Chicken meal, the depth of warmth from the loaded potato soup, everything was fantastic and I'm enjoying my leftovers now. I'm definitely coming back for that Key Lime Pie too.
They were all absolutely wonderful and made sure everything was going wonderfully. What really encouraged my full 5 star review is the Spicy Chicken Bites. OMG They're delicious! Thank you Joel for inviting us back! My beloved Andrew and I will definitely be back throughout the year! It was a positively delicious experience. Longhorn is in its own category so I won't compare it to other restaurants. These bites are unique to them and made me really happy to eat. ♡
Oh! Something notible each time is that your female bathroom really caters well to women and we most certainly appreciate...
Read moreMe and my boyfriend had a very good experience eating here on the night of Halloween thanks to Tammy E..We showed up a little after 7 and got seated very quickly, but for some reason there were 4 different workers walking around the section and no one came to ask us what we would like to drink for maybe more than 15 minutes.Every time I thought to ask someone it was when a girl was cleaning a table next to us,but I noticed she had an earbud in and I wasn’t sure if she would be able to hear me if I tried getting her attention so I thought maybe whoever’s section we were in maybe they were very busy.Someone got seated behind us and they were getting taken care of by someone so maybe whoever it was probably was new I was trying to think positively about it.Maybe there was a mistake. When someone finally came to talk to us it was Tammy.Tammy let us know how she noticed that we were sitting there quite a while without someone taking care of us so she wanted to take our table and make sure we were satisfied. She was able to get our food out very quickly.I think it was the manager that brought us our food(thank you) and before we left we made sure to let him know we really enjoyed our time(he also held the door for us when we left). Our food was delicious even with how quickly they got it out to us it was done and not undercooked it was perfect.I ordered the new…I think it was garlic chicken it was juicy and sooo good! Tammy also knows how to talk to people which my boyfriend noticed. She made us laugh and was good with communication, repeated our orders back to us she did very well.I worked at a restaurant for a while so I know some people can really make you afraid to be yourself and try to please them as much as you can with the worry of making a mistake, but Tammy was not shy and did not seem under any pressure at all(I have no idea how many other tables she had)she did more than what her position calls for and is...
Read moreFood: My "med filet" was RARE, and I mean, raw rare. I would have liked to have told my server so I could've had a better meal, but sadly, she was nowhere to be found. Never checked back with us. My husband's shrimp was also raw, bait raw. Service: As noted above, our server was scarce. She showed up at our table sometime after we arrived and we had to ask her for water, which when she brought it to us she was hugging the glasses to her uniform...yes, her shirt was all over where our mouths were to be (gag). When we were finally ordering, she had the personality of a 2x4. This came across as very disinterested and dismissive. When the food arrived, it was kinda placed, kinda plopped in front of us, arms across our faces too. I don't care for that type of personal space invasion. Total server time 3, we saw her 3 times: water, order, bill (others brought our food). Atmosphere: Very noisy, busy, rushed, crowded. When people walked by our table, they were moving our chair to get by, brushing against us. It was a real "trough" feeding of the farm animals vibe, especially with the way we were served (the plopping of plates and arms across our faces).
It's the next morning, and both my husband and I are feeling ill from the food. It was a Tuesday night...idk what the culture is at this location, but our experience was not ideal. We paid the full bill, even though we did not eat our raw food. Again, I would have liked to have told our server early to have it better prepared, and at least later, to have it removed from our bill, but she wasn't around. TIP? Absolutely not. Judge if you like, but I am not in the habit of giving my money away. Advice: If you're working for TIPs, work for them. Do a good job at whatever job you're doing. Every job is valuable, and your part in performing it is important. Work ethic is...
