Let me start by saying the whole meal was compād...which was in no way what we were asking for!! From the first attempt to order anything, they āwere out of itā. When our meal was brought out (by someone who wasnāt our server, so I canāt be sure of their title), that person told us one of the meals wasnāt made as ordered and things were in disarray because āwe are out of like everything tonightā. We waited for about 5 minutes after our food came to the table to get silverware. When drinks were brought to the table, the ordered hot water came straight out of the coffee pot...YUCK!! No one came back to our table to refill drinks until we were almost finished with our food. We asked for more of our bottomless sides and drinks with only one of the three drinks being filled. Garlic bread was supposed to come with one of the meals, and upon the request for the garlic bread, we were brought what looked like a large crouton that had been taken from someone elseās plate (perhaps half the size of two fingers..literally!). Although we were a little disappointed earlier in the dining session and the waitress appropriately offered for the manager to come to the table, we had declined and continued on. When the garlic bread was brought out, we then asked to talk with the manager. The GM came to the table, looking discheveled...barely willing to hear what we were trying to bring to his attention about our poor experience. He defended the crouton...I mean āgarlic breadā, lol š. He seemed a little aggravated and defensive, talked over us, but no voices were raised and he said he would adjust the price on one of the burgers because we didnāt have a very good experience. He came back with free shake vouchers and I made one final attempt to say something. He interrupted me yet again and I politely asked him if he could please let me finish and not interrupt. He folded his arms, he was silent but got very upset. When I finished speaking, he stood there and didnāt say a word for several seconds, then followed the awkward silence with an extremely condescending and rude statement āoh yeah, I didnāt want to interrupt anyone....okā. He proceeded to take my fresh basket of fries that was just brought to me and I hadnāt touched...he snatched the shake vouchers and walked away, then a few minutes later breezed by our table, not looking at any of us, tapped on our table and said āyour meal is free, good nightā as he was walking away. Obvious that customer service from the GM...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI cannot speak for Red Robin based on their menu or their service as a sit down restaurant. But Iām from Ohio and before I left I was a manager and delivery driver for donatos pizza. Theyāre based out of Gahanna less than 10 miles from where I grew up and over the years I worked at 4 locations from canal Winchester to Dublin to reynoldsburg. When they very first came into Red Robin locations in Arizona I got a pizza visiting my dad for Xmas⦠they were awful. Edge to edge was not a philosophy they followed back then out here. Iām actually the first person that supplied the photos of the failed pizzas because the man in charge of the southwest expansion was at one point my district manager in Dublin Ohio and Hilliard. I sent the photos to my GM and he sent them over to the DM. He was angry and now I see he fixed the problem. Not sure the man in charge now knows I supplied the photos back then because it was to my GM but I have the texts to my GM showing my experience those early months of the expansion that they came out to Red Robin in southwest to prove what Iām saying. Long story short I got a pizza tonight. It was so good. So close to home. Literally as good as any pizza at any of the locations I worked. I ate so many of these night after night as a manager and a driver so im somewhat of an expert. Iām ashamed to admit in a year here living full time this is my first try of RR donatos pizza. The first was so bad I didnāt care to try again. They got it right now. Truly. No joke. Goodness it was good. If you want pizza get donatos at Red Robin. Iāll always miss home. I will always be an Ohio boy. Iāll always have a soft spot for donatos too. My whole life it was the pizza we got even before I worked there. Masseys and grapevine too but mostly donatos. Donatos paid my way through college and they paid my rent because it was my only job through college. I wonāt say itās good if it not. I can make a Donaros pizza blond folded. Even remember the weights for toppings. Iāve had so many of their pizzas. This was SOOO good. Get donatos pizza from Prescott Red Robin!!!! Slice of heaven...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI feel the need to post this for people that have food allergies. I have a gluten allergy. When I consume gluten, my immune system attacks my body. I get severe muscle spasms, charlie horses, right now as I'm typing my back muscles are seizing up. My joints hurt, sending pain radiating down all my bones. I get horrible fatigue and brain fog. Those are just the major symptoms. I know it's a risk to eat out, but usually Red Robin is a safe choice. I order a lettuce wrapped burger and a side salad, no croutons. I let the server know I have a gluten allergy, no bread products. As I was eating the salad, I had a couple crunchy bites, really small. I take another bite and notice another crunch. I dig through my salad, it looks like croutons were put on the salad, and then someone dug them out by hand. I found one big crouton they missed, but about a dozen tiny pieces of crouton. I can't believe I would tell them I have a gluten allergy, and they would think it is remotely ok to pick out the pieces of crouton. So if you have an allergy, do not trust Red Robin to adequately train their kitchen staff about it. If I'm being honest though, that's not even what really upset me. What really upset me was the manager came over after giving us a 10% discout (Didn't notice what the discount was til after she left the table -$3) to say she talked to her kitchen staff and they don't know how the croutons got in there (??? someone obvs. picked them out) and she told them they had to be more careful. I'm upset she gave me a discount at all, she put a price on what I have to deal with for the next couple weeks, and how hard my life is going to be. It is worth $3. Anything harder than the easiest chores will be out of the question. I would have rather had no discount, and just a genuine apology, because every time I have to do something simple, like sweep my floors, or laundry, and it's way harder and painful than it has to be, I get to think to myself, this was worth $3...
