Black Butterfly Artisan Chocolates — Local services in Prescott

The artisan chocolates at Black Butterfly were so yummy and beautifully made. Each one is truly a work of art!

We had a wonderful time chatting with the owner. She described the process (which takes a whole work week!) for making her marvelous morsels. We also asked her about her education and training, and were amazed at how widely she has traveled to learn from master chefs and chocolatiers. She has made her own unique chocolate combinations and flavors. It was fun to ask what were some of her favorites!

Her shop is cutely decorated like a specialty boutique, with stunningly beautiful art and photography of the cacao plant, flowers, pods, and beans that chocolate comes from. My only suggestion is that when I saw that she carries cacao water, I thought it would be fitting for her to also carry Crio Bru, the cacao beverage that brews like coffee but is made of cacao beans instead of coffee beans.

I am not a chocolate connoisseur as a matter of fact I can live life without chocolate. I do however get excited over new and unusual finer foods and will not hesitate to enjoy someone's delightful endeavors. This is what I experienced from the artisan chocolates at the Black Butterfly. The owner was very proud of her accomplishments and enjoyed explaining everything to me about these decadent pieces all the while she was making me sample her new unveiled creations from her on-site kitchen.
