An Internet search for a discontinued model of binoculars lead me to find Jay’s Bird Barn in Prescott, AZ. Even though I lived 2000 miles away in Michigan, Eric Moore, the stores owner, gave me great customer service as if I was a local resident. After a weeks worth of email exchanges, a deal was made and the binoculars were shipped to my door. The amount of time that Eric spent on a customer that he may never meet in person shows his continued commitment to the business he opened nearly 20 years ago. I love everything about this store! They carry Hallmark cards and gifts, including the infamous collectible Chritmas Ornaments. They offer expert advice and friendly personable service. They mix their own blend of birdseed to attract our local species of songbirds without the filler type seeds like Milo. They sell an enormous selection of beautiful gifts to please any gardener, bird lover, outdoorsman, jewelry, binoculars, Flatline Maps, Birdfeeders Galore. In April (2025) I drove up to The Lookout in Prescott from Scottsdale. I had an appointment with Eric Moore, the owner, to look for more powerful birding binoculars. He carries a full line of Vortex and Swarovski optics, and, with his terrific help, I selected a perfect new pair of 10 power binoculars. I was able to test them out on the premises at the bird feeders in the parking area. The service was excellent and the price fair. It was worth the 200 mile round trip!
