United States Postal Service — Local services in Proviso Township

Got ignored. Stood in line waiting to be called on. When it was my turn the staff just turned around and started talking to one another and never acknowledged me. There seems to be some prejudice as other customers were allowed to cut in front of me and given preferential treatment. Now 10 minutes, while standing there with a box in hand and looking at them, I was finally asked "you got something?" "I do" "then c'mon" talking down to me. Dropped my package to weigh it, then flicked the receipt at me. I've had a rough past and do my best to be kind. I never understood people like this, if you're going to be a miserable human being then just crawl under a rock...

Nothing wrong with this place. Only problem is higher up management. Perfect example of how Big Gov doesn't work. They post a sign they have different work hours as of April 7th, and since I visited on the 6th, no word about this happening. Show up the next day and they are closed - but nowhere what their new hours are. Nothing is changed on their website. So upon calling numerous times to their local number, I finally get someone to answer and tell me they're closed till the 20th due to this virus thing. Why not tell me the day before? Maybe they weren't told? No planning? Someone updstairs made a lase 2nd change? Problem is, nowhere is this info...

Terrible staff horrible service. The lady's working here are lazy and unprofessional. you can tell they don't even want be there or help you .. Was 2nd in line just to be told we were supposed to fill out a form.. Fill out the form to be told it was the wrong 1 .. Meanwhile we waited for them to attend us because they put us to the side.. After waiting so long we asked for what we will need and how much the service would cost that we were getting and she couldn't even manage to do that just told us to look online and it will tell us the requirements and price.. Terrible experience with this horrible post office needs better...
