Potbelly — Restaurant in Leyden Township

Not sure where my previous review went but here it is again since it’s conveniently gone.

This might be the worst potbelly in the country. I periodically order all of my employees lunch here and they can’t ever seem to get it right. Last time we ordered 8-10 subs and 2 or 3 were messed up.. so instead of owning it and apologizing, the employee just told me “well next time place your order online.”

So against my better judgement, my employees wanted potbelly again yesterday. This time I ordered it online, and imagine that- they still found a way to screw it up. I figured it was as simple as reading to ticket that comes out, but I guess that’s too difficult for them. The ticket and receipt printed perfectly.. but you guessed it- they still got it wrong.

When I’m spending $175+ on lunch, I expect my order to be right. This is the kind of problems you expect at subway where subs are $5, not Potbelly. I don’t mind how expensive potbelly is (my sandwich was $26+ itself) but if you’re going to charge a premium price, you’d better have a premium product.

I get that stuff happens, and typically I wouldn’t bash another business over a mistake.. but as I said last time they messed up they were rude and told me I should’ve ordered online. Just goes to show, despite your order method- they’ll still find a way to mess it up.

Potbelly's is one of my favorite sandwich shops. If you like variety, fresh ingredients, and toasted buns - Potbelly's is for you. At this particular location, there was no line no wait. The staff quickly took my order and went to work on my sandwiches. I usually get a Wreck on wheat. The wreck is basically a meat lovers. My second sandwich was a Mediterranean sandwich. I highly recommend checking out their menu before visiting if it's your first time. They have three sandwich sizes. Skinny, original, and big. Big is almost about a foot long, original is like 6in and skinny is I think less bread. I also highly recommend ordering one of their shakes. The milk shakes are soooo good and they come with a little cookie on the straw. Lastly, the cookies are good and usually baked fresh. The sugar and oatmeal raisin are my favorites. I hate to do this because I love pot bellys. I placed a online order for 2 sandwiches, Mac and cheese and soup paid online as someone else was gonna pick up. When they got there they were told the Mac and cheese was gonna be another 20min and because he wouldn't wait as he had to go he had to pay for the whole order. I don't understand why I wasn't emailed or called to tell me my one order wasn't gonna be ready on time, so that I could see what I wanted to do.
